I agree even with Den it was dodgy but at least we did not see him get shot and everyone at the time believed he was not dead. TPTB at the time said they deliberately left it open ended. But they had no clue how to write him the 2nd time, and with that lesson learned no more bringing back anyone from the dead. Let the dead rest in peace in EE. Right now I am glad Ronnie is not on EE its in a dreadful state and I actually did not mind her ending too much. BK ruins female leads just look at the mess he has with Kat. Ronnie got out just in time in my view.

I agree. Sam and Ronnie left just at the right time and I too didn't mind the ending much. It was the best under the circumstances. It was an ending that leaves the door open for a return if she wanted to.

It is probably best that they didn't do the mental health because most likely they would have made a mess of it. Just like they did with the rape reveal.

As for Kat at the risk of sounding like a broken record she should have never returned. Her story ended beautifully and there isn't much they can do with her.
I don't think she fits in in this show. People have moved on, different families are in the square. Characters have moved on and frankly there are enough loud and mouthy female characters on the square, and there is the tart with a heart in the shape of Roxy.
Unfortunately it looks like Kat and Alfie are here to stay as Shane apparently said that they have a big plot coming up, but imo the sooner they leave the better.

Maybe the Vic can breathe some life too as they have sucked all the life out of it. And I know people say that Kat won't exactly be cheery and the Vic is bound to be draining, but the Mitchells for example before that went through a lot too, but the misery didn't transfer into the Vic as a set and as a storytelling place turning into a place where you wouldn't want to set foot in.

This I heartily agree with. They've well and truly exhausted Kat. Even the die hard Kat fans are fed up.
She got her fairytale ending and EE had to ruin it by dragging her into the awful baby-swap storyline.
Now she's going to lose her baby. All she needs is for Zoe to die and she then pretty much matches Ronnie in the tragedy stakes

Samantha Womack may not have broken a leg but she did break a toe ahead of her performance in South Pacific. It was very laudable of her to carry on, defying doctor's orders in the face of considerable pain. But did the director Bartlett Sher really have to come out before curtain went up and announce her injury to the audience? He said he hoped the news would elicit our sympathy. Womack is a true professional and did not need to elicit our sympathy. And I would never have guessed she'd sustained a foot injury. The result was that I wasn't magically transported to Bali Hai but I spent the entire show distracted by her feet. Which toe was it? How did she break it? What would the show have been like if she hadn't broken her toe? When I write this column it does not incorporate a preamble saying I have a colossal hangover or feel ill or mentally incapacitated.

I do not mean to be rude but I have no idea what you are saying. What I love about this read over the rack one. Apart from me being a non rack fan. Is we can discuss Sam without it being lots of text talk back and forth. I am not aiming this just at you but recently the thread is getting more offtopic chat, rather than Sam.
