Sadly thats show business especially if your doing live shows. When she broke her shoulder she physically would not be able to work but so many dancers, continue on when they break their toes. Ballet dancers on their broken tip toes still look squeamish but its expected of them when they get to a high enough level. A friend of mine from the royal ballet has permenent damage from such behaviour.
So I can not say I am surprised Sam continued it would be expected of her

yeah broken shoulder, broken toe what next But she always gets on with things like when she broke her shoulder she still went to the BAFTAS (i think thats what awards it was) even tho the journilists were on about how much pain she was in when trying on dresses and stuffBut yeah people just get on with it

Have quoted bits from this Sam thingy espically for RachelNot sure if she will read it tho but oh well

"Recently there have been two high-profile examples of such injuries – pop singer Jessie J and actress Samantha Womack have refused to take a break from their schedules despite breaking bones in their feet. Do I think they're brave? As an orthopaedic surgeon, I'd say they could be making a very big mistake."

"Samantha's injury – reported to be a dislocated and perhaps broken toe, sustained when she was performing in South Pacific in the West End – may appear minor, but it is perhaps the more worrying of the two.
While Jessie, who broke two foot bones, had taken to performing sitting down, Samantha ignored medical advice and insisted that she should not only tread the boards but dance on the opening night, too. By the time she performed again her foot had turned black and her toes had to be injected with steroids to reduce the swelling."

"Samantha should be resting. A dislocated toe occurs when it is forced out of its socket."

"Not advised: Samantha Womack also didn't stop working"

Sam's toes were still bandaged on Saturday.
I hope she will rest her foot soon.

Ooh! I forgot to say about my dream...

well, after watching SP again, I waited outside for Sam. There was a bit of a crowd and once the crowd had cleared, she spotted me and waved me over. We got chatting for a while and then I asked if I could buy her a coffee and she said yes (insert hysterical breathing here).
So we rambled off to find the nearest coffee house. On the way she talked about the show and asked what I thought of it.
Anyway, I got the coffees in and we sat in the corner hiding away from everybody else. She then thanked me for all the letters I sent and we ended up talking about her time on EE. I then went onto a bit of a rant about the baby swap and she listened and nodded her head.
I talked about her returning to EE but they have to move Ronnie away from the baby drama and she agreed. The dream kinda ended with her telling me she'd pass on my thoughts to BK when she next spoke to him

Yes I did. Emma and I went on Saturday.
I enjoyed the show and Sam was fantastic. Couldn't fault her performance at all. Great acting, singing and dancing.

I can't wait for her to go back to acting though and I actually said that to her.

I told her that she was fantastic in SP and it was a great show. But I also said to her that I couldn’t wait for her to go back to acting and that I miss seeing her on television.

She said she will but obviously we didn’t spoke about EE and that doesn’t mean that she will return to EE. In fact it is not an indicator of what she will do next and whether she will return to acting after SP. I am sure she will return to acting at some point so her answer is truthful in that sense.

I hope that makes sense.

She was fantastic though and so friendly. This is my second experience of meeting her and finding her an absolute joy, very polite and friendly and all smiles. Emma and I went on Saturday for the evening show, so Sam must have been exhausted when she came out as Saturday is the day she does two shows. But she stopped and met everyone, despite her relatives waiting for her.
(Apparently there was a cousin who was waiting for her and a few other relatives or maybe friends, but as we heard her introduce him to some of the cast after she had met all her fans).

This thread is dead, understandable as there isn't anything new to discuss.
Here is what they had written for Sam in the SP programme.

There is half a page written there but this is just the first sentence:

Quote:
“Samantha Womack is recognised as one of our most endearing and versatile actresses and is well known for her memorable characters on television, stage and in film. ”

Endearing is such a great word to describe Sam and also Ronnie.
