Lou I am so sorry. But hopefully she will be there tomorrow. I hope she is OK as it doesn’t sound like her to not do it.
I agree. I am sure that is how Jack and Ronnie’s relationship will go.
I would love to see Sam do other things, so I don’t mind her not returning to EE as long as she goes on to do other television work so that we can continue to see her.
But if it was a choice between theatre/ musicals and EE I would rather see her back in EE than theatre. I know she is great at theatre and it was lovely to see her in SP, but like I have said before that is just one performance you can see and I really want to see her in something more continuous.
I think there are things they can still do with Ronnie, especially if they go down the route of Roxy hitting rock bottom. It is soo Ronnie to come back “to save” Roxy. She is very selfless and protective when it comes to Roxy. That will also give an opportunity to stir away from babies and restore Ronnie and Roxy as the great duo they were when they arrived.
There is a risk of repetitive performances though and Sam is not the type to want to pigeonhole herself so I don’t know whether she will return. The only thing that might entice her to consider a return would be the relative financial security with EE as opposed to being a jobbing actress.
In fairness EE has been a great platform for her and increased her popularity hence improving her chances of finding other jobs and making her more attractive to producers, but as with other actresses such as Jessie and Patsy, after EE their career slowed down so a return might appeal because at the end of the day she has a family to support and you have to make compromises.
I fully agree about awards. It really annoys me as she indeed outshone Jessie on every level and also popularity wise stands just as much a chance of winning. So it seems completely unfair but as you have said before this is the Moon show now so Jessie was going to be their pet and favoured above Sam. Jessie winning is not helpful at all though, because it probably makes the producers think that they are doing a great job with Kat's return and see it as popular.
