Because my friend's mum was talking to one of the theatre workers while she was waiting for us to come out and the girl mentioned that Sam wasn't performing tonight because she and some other cast members were ill. Shame. Hopefully they'll all feel better soon.

I hope Sam is all right. I wonder whether the tour is taking its toll. It can’t be easy going from one city to the other, sleeping in hotels with very few days in between the shows from one city to the other. And then like most working mums when you get home you have to be mummy so not much of a break there either.

I hope Sam is ok and I feel a bit mean saying this but hopefully this means that she won’t do any musical and touring as her next project and rather do a TV drama or movie.

I am glad Chelsea and Erin got to see the show.

I think this Roxy/Jack/Amy sl is just a ploy for Derek's return and his predictable "feud" and rivalry with Phil. I don't think EE cares much about characterization. Jack, Roxy or any other characters are as good or as bad parents, people as the plot requires it.

It seems that way to me too. I decided to tune in on the week of Amy's accident but since Friday's episode of that week, Roxy's lurking in the background again. I still care for Roxy so I like to keep track of her storylines and which episodes she features in but when I look at her now to how she was back in 2007/08, it's such a shame that they've been wasting her character. I really hope Sam decides to return next year as it feels like there's a big hole in the EE cast right now. I know that nobody is bigger than the show but Ronnie was always compelling and intriguing to follow and I can't say the same for 98% of the cast in the show now.

I've decided to accept that we'll never get the glory days of the Mitchell sisters back again but I'd still love Ronnie to return and reunite with Roxy.

I would like Ronnie to return too. There is no character like her in EE now. Most of the current females are pretty much clones of each other most of them loud, mouthy and brassy and is all so boring. Ronnie is very different.

I do like the storyline with Jack and Roxy though. I have said it before here that it is a good storyline for both of them. Jack doesn’t exactly have any rights to take the moral ground high, but it is understandable that he would go to the extreme and be very cruel towards Roxy considering what has happened to him in the past year. I think he is going to emerge more unlikeable though which is not necessary a good thing for the character, but at least they are doing something about that aspect of his character, the father aspect.
This is a fantastic storyline for Roxy too but I hope it is not just a means for the Derek/ Phil feud and that we are going to see Roxy fighting to get Amy back and get into her character more.

I also think that should Ronnie come back after she is released from prison, the storyline with Roxy and Jack and whatever else is going to happen with Phil, is a perfect set up for her return. I couldn’t have thought of a much better way to explain her returning than Roxy needing her more than ever.
Ronnie won’t be best pleased with Jack to say the least and I have the feeling that other characters would be involved in Phil’s stalker storyline such as Janine, Michael perhaps, and these are all people that only Ronnie can sort out and stand up to them bringing the Mitchells together.

I really hope we will see her back.
