I went to this wonderful day with an international speaker about trauma, neglect, abuse and the impact it has on children and also adoption. So many things were so true to Ronnie.
It just reminded me of how fantastic Ronnie’s character was and how much they could have done with her if it wasn’t for B.K’s stupid idea of the baby swap.
One of the main reasons she was so great was because she wasn’t your cliché, sexually abused child aka Whitney or Kat who use sex because they confuse it with affection. That is true to life too, but Ronnie was much deeper, closed off, with serious attachment issues and behind that exterior a very, very damaged girl, having suffered from lack of a primary care giver, a parent figure, which both Kat and Whitney have had. She also had the other part of her that was the emotional trauma, the torment from Archie, the abandonment from her mum on top of Danielle's horrific death and Ronnie’s PTSD.
They could have explored her motherhood, or even go down the route of adoption and having her adopt a child, not to mention all the other things that have been discussed here such as Penny.
I can not reconcile with the way B.K wasted such an amazing character.
