I totally agree with you. I hope that if Ronnie does come back they give her some happy storylines. Maybe a new bloke so Jack will regret what he did with Roxy.

I think from her interview its obvious she is not returning and I am pleased. Sam W is worth so much more than Ronnie who was ruined at the end. Bring on the next tv project!

Roxy/Jack again :yawn:is ridiculous!! It was stupid the first time although the reasons why were a little bit more plausible as they were both angry at Ronnie and wanted to show her that they could do what they wanted without her being in control as such. This time, it's just absolutely stupid! Far to much as happened and previously Jack has always brushed Roxy off after the first time and Roxy should be loyal to her sister and her behaviour is just shocking. If Ronnie ever did return it would be pointless I feel, because after you found out that your sister has slept with your man once again, why would you stick around?

I know there getting divorced, but that doesn't mean Ronnie still doesn't love him. I always took the reasons for divorce to be partly because Roxy had told her that he was taking Amy away from her aswell as Ronnie wanting to set Jack free in a way.

I loved the New year episodes of EE and I was getting back into it again but after hearing of this and also the upcoming Ben plot, I'm a little baffled to what is going on really!

That is what I thought too, that part of Ronnie divorcing Jack is because of the custody battle over Amy. As much as I try to like Roxy, this is unforgivable. She probably does it because she is desperate to win Amy back, but that is no excuse. Roxy should never do that to her sister.
Roxy would end up getting hurt anyway. She knows very well that Jack doesn't love her and never will. And I can't see him settle with Roxy just because of Amy. So Roxy looses all around.

She is such a fool sometimes.

So do i. I totally agree with everything Sam is saying about Danielle's death. It was such a let down because most of the viewers wanted Ronnie and Danielle to have a mother and daughter relationship. I really enjoyed the build up to the reveal and the reveal itself but the ending for me was not the right one personally - i am not saying that it should have Ronnie and Danielle sitting the cafe drinking coffee and it being rosey because with everything that they have been through - it wouldn't have right but to build them to having a relationship eventually.

As for the baby swap that was really not necessary and it was over the top, which helps the ratings at the end of the day but that is it. Poor Sam was suffering from doing that storyline and we were not enjoying it - especially seeing poor Ronnie go through more heartache.AGAIN!

That's my problem with Roxy/Jack. It's not Jack's side of it that bothers me, he can do what he likes. But I feel Roxy is showing a real lack of respect for her sister here given she knows that Ronnie did/does love Jack even if she feels she can't be with him. And you know, Ronnie's child with dying...

As for the Danielle situation. I didn't like Danielle, didn't think the actress was very good. The storyline was...OK....but it was mainly the want for Ronnie to find out that kept people engaged whereas IMO the writing was only so - so with some stronger moments - mainly scenes between Ronnie and Archie and I did think some of the Danielle/Archie scenes were well done.

We may never have gotten such a strong moment as Danielle's death. but I do think keeping her alive longer would been better for the storyline. I think it would added different dimensions to Ronnie and the idea it would have been a happy ever after is simply not true.

There still have been major conflict between Ronnie and Archie ,and probably Ronnie/Roxy due to Archie/Danielle. Ronnie would have conflicted with Roxy probably due to Roxy later allowing Archie back. Roxy probably would have conflicted with Ronnie because a part of her may have felt jealous and sidelined now that she wasn't the most important thing in Ronnie's life. There is so much drama and conlifct that could have occurred - more so than the conflict that occurred in actuality - which wasn't really that well done. And it would have been interesting to see Ronnie have a real reason to fight against Archie(Danielle) whilst thinking she did have the upper hand. and that she did 'win' because she got her daughter back. I don't think for a second Archie would have accepted Ronnie/Danielle, and that would have been a much more interesting battle/vendetta than Archie trying to take over the Vic.

I think they could had Danielle die, just at a later date.

I wonder whether the timing of Danielle's death and the storyline had anything to do with Larry Lamb's contract. He was only temporarily in EE and I know he was doing or imminently due to start filming for the next series of Gavin and Stacey around the time of Danielle's death.
I am not sure but I think he was working on his other show at the same time so maybe they needed a reason for Archie to be off screen for a few months to accommodate Larry's other job.

I do not think anyone can champion rack after this. Jack cares about having unprotected sex with lots of ladies. I am glad it looks like Ronnie is not coming back she would look a complete fool to come back to the sister and man she loves who do not care enough to keep their legs closed. Jack and Roxy both know how much it hurt her before. And they are equally to blame just because you divorce someone it does not give you the right to take the mick out of what you did have. And sleeping with Roxy does that. Ronnie is much better off away from them.

But its all so predictable. Before Ronnie left on this very thread I said what would happen. Ronnie will leave and they will wait for it all to calm down. Then she will refuse to see Jack but not Roxy. She will then tell Roxy she wants a divorce from Jack. And Jack will start sleeping with someone else. It would have been bad enough it was Kat, but Roxy shows how little he respects or cares for Ronnie's feelings. I want to see a stronger Ronnie move on from these losers.

So the rumours about Sam doing BGT were true. I am glad the dates didn't work out as I want to see her on TV doing drama.

I suspect she will be probably cover some of the dates for Amanda's maternity leave though.

I have always been a fan of rack but this is so predictable. I hope when Ronnie does come back she will get a new man in her life someone who will not cheat on her like Jack.Hopefully when she does come back we will see a new stronger Ronnie.
