Sam Womack has pretty much ruled out a return as the most recent article shows. So its not a question of when but if. I hope she does not return they have ruined her and her memory. They never appreciated her when she was in the show. I much prefer to see her do a tv project where she is respected and appreciated.

OMG Sam went to Simon Cowells house

It says in Sam’s interview that she went to LA and met with Simon to discuss BGT but she didn’t do it because the dates didn’t fit with her SP contract.

The part about covering for Amanda is my speculation. The fact that Sam considered BGT and Simon wanted her, make me think that eventhough she couldn’t do the whole series because of SP commitment, she may still do the cover for Amanda as she would have finished with SP by then.

I am not sure when Amanda is due to go on maternity leave, but if it is anytime from March onwards Sam would have been finished with SP by then.

I think Louis Walsh is covering Amanda's maternity leave

I am pleased because if she had committed to covering for Amanda that would have meant that eventhough just a maternity cover, she couldn't do anything else in the meantime. And I am hoping for a longish term project and hopefully an acting one.

Sam has never said never so who knows. If Sam wanted to return, EE would have her back in a heartbeat.

It’s definitely never though, for as long as B.K is in EE.

You never know with the job market. Things might be difficult job wise and Sam might consider a return when she has had enough time to recover from all the crying and the doom and gloom she had to play with Ronnie.

Took me about a week to recover from it too. But I think we kinda already knew Sam didn't agree with the s/l - from the rumours that were flying around at the time.

This whole Roxy/Jack thing doesn't surprise me at least one bit.
I've always thought those two were more suited as a pairing rather than Jack and Ronnie.
Roxy doesn't have the same emotional needs Ronnie did and I don't think Jack gave Ron really what she needed. The only time I ever saw the look of love in his eyes when we he thought she gave him his son.
I always felt Jack was out of his depth with Ronnie's issues.

Also with Roxy and Jack having a child it makes more sense for them to be together. Though Jack would struggle with Roxy too haha

This custody storyline IMO has been an absolute flop. Sposed to be something big for Roxy but it took a back seat after a week or two. I liked that Amy refused to eat on Christmas day, but I wish they carried that further. Amy is 3 and is able to be aware she doesn't live with her mother at home anymore. If she refused to eat more/not sleep she's putting her health in danger and it would have been interesting to see Roxy and Jack working together to help her.
For me now the s/l seems to be about Derek. The dirty tricks he and Jack will play to make sure Jack keeps Amy for good.
Kinda takes the focus away from the s/l even though I gave up hope on it ages back.

Ahh I would have liked to have seen Sam on a temporary basis to see how it would go for her, but thats the way things go

I agree with what you have said but you forgot one more thing they both Roxy/Jack have no self control. Ronnie needs to be around people she can trust. First time round she forgave them now they will turn it round on her and blame her for it by saying that she was not around if she was around it would never of happened.

Whats there for her to come back to?. If she comes back she will have to deal with the fact that Roxy slept with Jack again and we have been there already. Ronnie did not take it well but she forgave them in the end. I would rather she came back and leave with a new bloke but as this is Eastenders they would just make her suffer again.

She can sort Derek Branning out with one right hook

Jack sleeping with Roxy can be explained somewhat. It doesn’t make it right and it is stupid, but I guess you can say, Jack is hurt as Ronnie has filed for divorce, he still loves her so he is trying to hang on to Amy and holding on to Roxy and Amy gives him the link to Ronnie. It is sick but it can be explained like that.

But I can't understand Roxy. I glanced at Rita's interview and she said that Ronnie has filed for divorce so that means that Ronnie doesn't love Jack anymore. Deep down Roxy wants a nuclear family.

Even if that was true, what does Roxy think then? That people fall out of love like that? Also it is sick to go after your sister's ex-husband just because she has divorced him. So in Roxy's head whenever she and Jack are together and have their little nuclear family and once Ronnie is released from prison, is she expecting Ronnie to be fine with it? Does she see Ronnie go around and celebrate Amy's birthday or go to a Roxy and Jack wedding?

Honestly Roxy makes me sick. I don't understand her character at all. She is stuck as a character. As soon as you think you might get some development, you get Roxy sleeping with Jack again.

I'd also love Sam to do a drama type thing - would be good to see her back on the TV again There's only so many Ronnie clips I can watch now without remembering how badly they piled all that tragedy on one character and effectively ruined her. :sleep:

I have no words left for Roxy. That character has so much potential, yet they have her sleeping with Jack yet again :sleep: I suppose, in some ways, it's plausible - they have a child together, they are both angry, anger leads to passion, this isn't out of character for Jack and Roxy seems to think that because Ronnie has filed for divorce it's ok and it's allowed. The majority of the time, people do divorce because they don't love each other any more but it's not always the case and this is completely different. I've said this before, so sorry if i'm being repetitive, but Ronnie is in prison so that will work against her marriage and I get the feeling she wants to wipe the slate clean in an attempt to set her self free. I also thought a part of Ronnie divorcing Jack was in retaliation to hearing that Jack had taken Amy away from Roxy, and also because she wanted to let him go. But I don't think she has fallen out of love with him - and Roxy is very naive to think that. If I refer back to the post reveal episodes, when Ronnie was being interviewed for her psychiatric assessment - she spoke about how much she loved Jack. She's following her head, not her heart here.

Jack is not good enough for Ronnie anyway. Neither is Roxy. I mean, I used to feel for them both, they've both had to adjust to life without Ronnie, but I just can't believe Jack/Roxy is being rehashed once again. I know it's just a one-off for now, but in the future I get the feeling they'll be playing happy families. Marvellous!
