The majority of the time, people do divorce because they don't love each other any more but it's not always the case and this is completely different. I've said this before, so sorry if i'm being repetitive, but Ronnie is in prison so that will work against her marriage and I get the feeling she wants to wipe the slate clean in an attempt to set her self free. I also thought a part of Ronnie divorcing Jack was in retaliation to hearing that Jack had taken Amy away from Roxy, and also because she wanted to let him go. But I don't think she has fallen out of love with him - and Roxy is very naive to think that. If I refer back to the post reveal episodes, when Ronnie was being interviewed for her psychiatric assessment - she spoke about how much she loved Jack. She's following her head, not her heart here.

Jack is not good enough for Ronnie anyway. Neither is Roxy. I mean, I used to feel for them both, they've both had to adjust to life without Ronnie, but I just can't believe Jack/Roxy is being rehashed once again. I know it's just a one-off for now, but in the future I get the feeling they'll be playing happy families. Marvellous!”

I totally agree with you i do not think that Jack is good enough for Ronnie. Ronnie deserves alot better than him. As for Roxy who needs enemies when you have friend/sister like her. Just because Ronnie asked for a divorce does not mean Jack and Roxy can sleep together. Roxy and Jack deserve each other and to be honest i can not see Roxy and Jack lasting long.

Ronnie can give Jack a taste of his own medicine by having a one night stand with Derek and have his baby.

Does anyone else think that they might put Sharon and Jack together?

I can see that happening. What i do not understand is Jack loves Ronnie then why are they having him sleep around?. This will be the second time that Jack has slept with Roxy behind Ronnies back. Now i can see Roxy/Jack/Sharon triangle.

I Know if Ronnie does come back Jack would dump both Roxy/Sharon for her. I just hope Ronnie gives herself abit of self respect and not get back with Jack.

Why is it when Ronnie is not about all Jack does is sleep around ? Roxy,Sam,Chelsea,Rainie.

tbh i dont think Sam is going to return to EE but she likes the fact its her safety net and the EE producers would have Sam back in an instant if she wanted to return.

I cant wait to see what Sam does next, hopefully a new acting project

I think she is back for Phil. To get them together be happy only for her to find out about Dennis. I do not think in a million years it will be Jack. I am usually good at predictions and I seriously do not see it happening. I would love Ronnie and Sharon to be friends.

Sam will be doing SP at New Wimbledon Theatre too.

Not very happy about this.
I was hoping she would finish with SP at the end of Feb and move on to something different.

You be right about sharon coming back for phil but i can still see them trying out Jack/Sharon. I hope that they do bring back Ronnie and her and Sharon being friends.

Hope so!

Help get the show back on track, Sam. You've left a real hole!

If she doesn't return, I'm happy with the four years of Ronnie we had as the period she was in the show was the most enjoyable for me (2007 - 10 mainly).

well the glory days of EE finished about 2003 and it started to sink and went underwater bu 2006. Ronnie at least out the show above water again but when she left the show sank to the bottom of the ocean and is now covered in barnicles.

Same for me. I have watched since 1998, which includes periods when Sharon, Kat, Grant, Chrissie, Den were around and I enjoyed the show the most when Ronnie was in it. I liked some characteres more than others but I never cared for a character like that and will never do. I am indifferent to everything else.

So Sam is planning to continue doing musicals again after SP.

Aww, that's a shame. Although I'm happy for Sam, I was really hoping she'd sign up to some TV projects. Her heart's in the theatre but she has a real energy about her when she appears on TV. Hope she doesn't rule out TV completely.

I agree with this completely. When I went to see Sam in SP last Friday she was amazing and her performance was so natural. You could tell she was meant for the theatre. However, she is so brilliant when she appears on TV and she played Ronnie so well!

I think she likes both but I suspect she is still too exhausted from Ronnie and the baby swap and is not ready to return to something heavy like drama on TV yet.
Also she would want to wait for the right project on TV, not just anything.

I hope Ronnie comes back just to finish with both Roxy and Jack and then she can go off and have a happy ending. Just like Becky got in coronation street. Then Sam can do all the theatre works/ Tv drama she likes i just don`t like the fact that Ronnie is in prision and Roxy and Jack are thinking of themselves. I cannot belive that Roxy would think that Ronnie has stopped loving Jack after everything that has happened between them.

I doubt Rita believes that. It's more a case of she doesn't have a choice in the matter as that is the script she has been given, so she is trying to justify it. If she does believe that because Ronnie has divorced Jack, she doesn't love him, then she is disillusional and doesn't know Ronnie's character.

I am pleased in a way because its another nail in the coffin. Having said that Ronnie has been his fool so I am wondering what would help her. I am certain he triggers her baby issues considering what he has done so many times. I am glad she is not returning because they have made a mockery of her. I want to see SW appreciated on something else, but a new television project is what I really want.

After reading the article earlier, I was about to comment something very similar to this however you already have so no point, just want to say I 100% agree with this. Neither Rita / Roxy / Writers must know the character Ronnie if what Rita has said is what everybody has being saying to justify the storyline. Delusional . . .

I also agree with you but Ronnie deserves someone she can trust not someone that is gonna sleep with her sister because she is not around. I also belive that Jack knows that Ronnie loves him even if she did ask for a divorce.

The whole thing is just contrived for convenience - IMO Roxy/Jack was always going to happen again as it's a love/hate thing and the writers seem to think it's a brill idea but it's all so ridiculous! There has been so many times when Jack has chosen Ronnie over Roxy (i.e when he ran after her at Amy's christening) but now all of a sudden, he's sleeping with Roxy again :yawn:and it's just not believable. He knows Ronnie loves him, if he doesn't then Jack's really not in tune with anything, and Roxy is so disloyal. I understand Rita's interview though - like LiliRose said, Rita's telling herself that Ronnie doesn't love Jack anymore so this makes it ok - but it's the story and if she tells herself that Ronnie as a character, doesn't love Jack anymore, then for Roxy as a character, it's ok for her to do this.

SW probably won't return, but if she did, I don't think this storylines the best of ideas and we're just going to go round in circles again - Ronnie would come back to Roxy and Jack probably being together or finding out they had been together and it's just going to be more pain, more circles, more of the same. Hopefully, like a poster above mentioned, Ronnie will come back, if she does that is and wash her hands of both Rox/Jack and move forward somehow. I just feel like Ronnie as a character was practically ruined by all the tragedy and sensationalism and now Roxy, for me, is slowly being ruined for pure disloyalty alone.
