I always loved Ronnie and Dot scenes.
In this thread we used to refer to Dot and certain extent Max, as Ronnie's mascots.

Ronnie had so much chemistry with pretty much every character she had scenes with.

I hope so. Sam is a fantastic actress and makes Ronnie a believable character who we can identify with.

i hope so too, i miss her especially as now im re watching clips on the net. im a late fan, i liked her while on the show but its only now that shes gone ive begun to really appreciate her. im going to be on this thread just asking and wanting to know alot lol

we all know ronnie was closed off and was stand offish but can you tell me about those moments where she interacted in a nice/good way with other characters, not dot and the obvious ones she would be around but other random people, like zainab, tanya, bianca etc etc?

The Ronnie/Dot scenes were my absolute favourites. They were always so understated and incredibly well done.
The two that always stick out in my mind was when Ronnie talked about her baby in the laundrette and the scene were Dot was brushing Ronnie's hair.

Oy. I miss those kind of scenes. Something of a rarity in EE these days.

Honestly? I don't think she will. Possibly ever.
It's kind of difficult. I'd rather Sam returned as Ronnie sooner rather than later to wrap up loose ends. But if Sam chose to return, methinks it'll be at least another year or two.
I just have a feeling she's done with EE and Ronnie.

Ooh! Ronnie did have some brilliant scenes with Bianca back in 2009. A fab two hander (three hander counting Dot)

I doubt she will return.
But I agree that if she ever returned, even if it was for a short time appearance it won't be for another two years at least.

Wow reading through all the posts about how much BK screwed Ronnie's character over for the whole Kat thing which has like you said ended up as a waste because he has now ruined Kat beyond repair too has got me so fuming!!

Eastenders really has not been the same for me since Sam's left, I've tried to stick with it but this whole Kat storyline is just boring and the Ben killing heather with a photo frame was just a joke!!

Anyways getting back to happier Ronnie times some good scenes she's had with other people that I love are the ones with Christian when they went to her school reunion, I really enjoyed those two together it's a shame nothing more came off it friendship wise (although Roxy would probably have gotten jealous if she did)

And another one i love is the scene she had with Stacey when she was pregnant and went shopping for baby stuff. Was something nice about seeing her talking about things with danielle's best friend.

News - I hope.

A little bit of twitter stalking today revealed that Sam was at Heathrow earlier, along with Reggie Yates. Anybody who can't remember Reggie was one of the guys that accompanied Sam during the Comic Relief program to the slums two years ago.

The program they did two years ago, was also filmed in the september before it aired. Now I'm hoping that maybe this may suggest they're going back out to the slums to do another program looking at what their time there and money they gave to some of the people they stayed with eg: Sam paid for a women to have a house built has done.

Sam suggested it was on the cards in Leeds, but never confirmed it so it's not confirmed, just a guess on my behalf from the sighting.

That would be great! I saw that on tv and then YouTube but the whole show isn't on unfortunately.

Granted I don't know much about Sam but I wonder if the reason why people took to ronnie so much and rooted for her even though she was an ice queen, and that we saw through her and noticed there was more bubbling under the surface was because sam herself is such a warm lovely person with depth which subconsciously came through while she was playing her. Because ronnie played by someone else would never have worked, we would've hated her lol

I agree with that I do believe Sam Womack gave humanity to Ronnie despite BK tried to rob her of that.

I remember either before/after the Comic Relief programme someone (perhaps Sam) said they'd go back later on in the year. Had given up on the idea, but with this potential news I'm very excited.

I agree too. Ronnie was created with Sam in mind. DTC said he always wanted Sam to play Ronnie. He said Ronnie was meant to be beautiful, strong and with a vulnerability side and Sam Womack was his ideal choice. (I will always forever love DTC and Santer) for creating Ronnie and bringing Sam to play her.
These were DTC’s words : “The characters were created by EastEnders' story producer Dominic Treadwell-Collins, who always intended for Ronnie to be played by Womack. In the 2009 documentary "The Secret Mitchell", he cited the actress' beauty, toughness and fragility as facets suitable for the character.[5]

A character that even after “stealing a baby” still remained endearing says a lot about Sam. Throughout the baby swap storyline in the forums, by a large, the majority of people were feeling more for Ronnie than Kat.
Sam really loved Ronnie and played her with so much love and dedication. It has been clear in her interviews how much she loved her character.

I hope Roxanne doesn't go anywhere. That would definitely mean the we will never see Ronnie again.

I have been watching EE here and there in the last few months and I read a spoiler that

Now I don't know this character at all but would rather see Roxy with him than Alfie. I know Alfie is a good guy and all that but I find him incredibly boring and very irritating most of the time when he tries to say about 1000 words a minute or when drinking from that empty mug of his, or not having a backbone etc.
I fear he will drag Roxanne down.
Not to mention that Roxanne will probably be the plot device with Alfie anyway. Unless Kat or Alfie leave the square, I don't think the producers will end that relationship for good, despite the fact that Kat is now a loathsome character and Alfie and Kat have completely lost their magic, their chemistry and are not believable anymore.

And I hope to see Roxanne behind the bar in the Vic soon and for a long time.

I agree I really want Roxy with Alfie not AJ. But we all know TPTB favour Kat so no doubt she will get away with it and they will force Kalfie down our throats.

The whole making her a millionaire thing was a joke. I still refuse to believe she is flat broke. She's probably lost the papers that tell her she owns the car lot and has that mansion in Weymouth and forgot all about them :sleep:
If she sold that mansion, she could buy a house for her and Amy - mention a spare room for Ronnie and start up a business or something.

I had really hoped the Amy storyline from last year when she nearly drowned would be the making of Roxy but sadly tis wasn't to be.
