I wish we had had more scenes with the Mitchells with Peggy, especially one with Ronnie seeing that she is due to be the Mitchell matriarch.
I too hope that Phil leaves Ronnie in charge, especially in R&R. Hopefully his offer to buy Sharon’s shares in one of the upcoming episodes is going to come to fruition.
I am glad in a way that Phil is out now, because there were only so many scenes of Carl creeping up on Ronnie that one could have, without it becoming really repetitive and a waste of Sam’s time in the show.
It’s about time this moved up one gear.

She looks hot!

She looks great. Sam said in one her interviews that she had been busy sorting out Ronnie's look and I like her wardrobe and look so far. Yes there is still black but there are other colours too. She is wearing make up. I like the fact that jewellery is back, not just the locket as I have noticed the little pearl earrings she was wearing the other day. I wonder whether the big earrings will appear at some stage. I really loved the 2008 Ronnie look and I am hoping we will see some of it back.

This is a man's view and I'm sure woman will think I'm mad....but I hate the noise her shoes made in that episode she walked around the square.....yet she sneaked up behind Carl

BIB - EE are very guilty of doing this with Ronnie.
The scene in the Vic just before she got on her motorbike and took off to Danielle's funeral; the monologue at James' grave and now this.
And always important scenes. I really don't understand why they do this. There have been pointless filler scenes where her full scenes could have been shown.
I'm really disappointed too.

I really do hope so. Haven't been paying too much attention, but does anyone know when DTC's stuff will start being shown?

BIB 1 - Peggy pretty much told her she is the Mitchell matriarch, just before she left in 2010, so a scene should have happened. If not then at least a phone call.

BIB 2 - LOL so true. I was laughing at Sam's various types of sigh's after Carl threatened Ronnie or whatever.
Even Inside Soap mentioned her sighs.

The locket would have been taken away from her because it would have been stolen by Big Bertha or somebody.

I never liked Ronnie's really long hair. Her best look was 2008/09 IMO.

Talking of the 'sigh's' - I laughed at the end of Friday's episode as you hear Ronnie sigh just before Phil does. I guess its a Mitchell trait for an elder sibling!

Ronnie facts:

Monday's episode is Ronnie's 481st episode. We should have a countdown to her 500th episode. In contrast, Monday's episode is Roxy's 700th episode (but she has done over 2 years' more worth of episodes!)

I wasn’t 100% sure about the shoes either but on the whole her look is much better than before she left in 2011.


I agree, I absolutely adored her look in 2008 up towards the end of 2009.
Around April 2008 onwards she looked great. I remember when she returned from her holiday around September
2008, on her bike and knocked on Jack’s door wearing leather.
Her hair at the time really suited her.

I hope we may see the fringe back as she had a fringe and straight hair then.





The sighs and finger pointing are Ronnie's trademark.

Do you think they will do a storyline where her cell mate or the prison top dog gets out and looks up Ronnie for revenge (to explain why she gpt longer in jail)? That would be epic and would create more sympathy from the locals what sort of scum Ronnie was with in jail. It would show both sides to Ronnie.

I was watching some 2008 youtube clips and she was looking great. I didn't mind her 2011 (watched the episode were she goes to Aunt Sal's) but she was a bit bed-wraggled look that year because it wasn't really Ronnie.

This was 2009. This was before Ronnie and Roxy were going to Peggy's hen night.

Just looked at the official ratings for Ronnie's return week and they seem to have really increased looking at previous weeks - quite close to 8 million.

Ronnie's also approaching 500 episodes too which is some mean feat!

I think Ronnie's return has brought back viewers (like me!). The show's ratings will imporve in time if the show gets better overall (not just Ronnie). As viewers we have seen the show get steadly worse and worse and have heard the whole "it'll get better" once to many times so I'm not surprised many casual fans have gone (for good?)

I'm stil wondering what Newman's plan actuially was for Ronnie. It seems she is gone for 6 episodes and when shes back shes still hiding from Alfie and she'll have been back almost a month

It's a waste of her short 6 month stint if they keep going at this pace.

That is exactly what I was thinking. If Sam extends her contract I can totally see EE making use of the time Ron was in prison as part of her background for a new storyline for her.

I have a feeling they will try and drag this storyline where Roxy is seeing Ronnie behind Alfie's back as long as they can, so that Alfie and Roxy's break and the predictable reunion with Kat gets closer to Christmas. It is so obvious that Christmas storyline will be Kalfie reunion.
Alfie is welcome to Kat as far as I am concerned. He has dragged Roxy down. It is a shame that Kat will be dragged down by him again. She works much better away from del boy Alfie.

We know Sam met with Simon Ashdown about the direction Ronnie can take (less babies and crying) but did they actually discuss storylines because at the moment I'm worried she will as you say, be a pawn in the Kat/Alfie reunion. When they said we will see a stronger Ronnie I was really exicted and her first week was really good but her scenes are getting shorter and shorter.

I hope there is more to see when Jack leaves and Michael's death but we don't know how much or even if, she is involved in his death.

If in 6 months we look back and all she did was get Kat/Alfie back together then I will be disappointed.

Lets hope although if shes involved in the Kat/Alfie/Roxy love triangle :yawn: until Christmas that only leaves her on screen for 2 further months
