Lets hope although if shes involved in the Kat/Alfie/Roxy love triangle  until Christmas that only leaves her on screen for 2 further months
I am now thinking this Kalfie thing, with Roxy seeing Ronnie behind his back will end in two months or so. I think that Jack's exit will be Ronnie related. The only way for Jack to leave and Ronnie to remain would be if Roxy is heartbroken by being dumped by Alfie. Ronnie like always, will be putting Roxy above anything and will stay to support her. So hopefully Ronnie’s involvement in Kalfie’s storyline will end by the time of Jack’s exit.
That is what I hope anyway.

Hopefully by then Sam would have made a decision to extend her contract and DTC would have started a story arc with her.
DTC must be planning storylines now so I am sure he would want to meet with the actors to discuss contracts and commitment so that he can plan the storylines properly.

Ronnie facts:

Monday's episode is Ronnie's 481st episode. We should have a countdown to her 500th episode. In contrast, Monday's episode is Roxy's 700th episode (but she has done over 2 years' more worth of episodes!)
Yet, comparatively, Roxy has actually done a hell of a lot less in the show. Shame they never give her much of her own storylines.

Some Ronnie spoilers:

Ronnie at the Branning party - 3rd Oct:

Ronnie and shirtless Jack (did he always have that tatoo?) - 4th Oct:

http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/soaps/s2...-pictures.html
I see they've brushed Jack and Roxy's night together under the carpet from last year.

With the news that 4 characters are being axed and leave in the New Year- this means they are now planning for the new year so I guess Sam must decide soon - or DTC needs to ask her to stay soon!

Yeah for all that claim that Ronnie had been holding Roxy back and with Ronnie’s departure Roxy was going to flourish, it didn’t prove that way. IF anything Roxy has been reduced to a mere extra and plot device since Ronnie’s departure, stuck in this dead end and dull love triangle with Kat and Alfie.
Ronnie and Roxy’s storylines are bound to be connected sometimes more heavily and some times marginally, so she may have been secondary to some degree when Ronnie was in the show, but she did get her own material with Sean, getting Archie’s money etc.

Loads of news today:

Where does this leave the Ronnie and Roxy if Roxy is going on a relationship saving holiday for a while and leaves her phone behind?

What a way to treat your sister! - Roxy annoys me sometimes!!!

Didn't she only sign on for six months initially because she has another job in January?

So if he does ask her to stay permanently, she'll have to leave and come back IIRC.

OK based on al the spoilers today, this is my theory for the next few months:

Early Oct:
Alfie finds out Roxy is seeing Ronnie
Mid Oct:
Roxy goes on holiday with Alfie leaving Ronnie alone
Late Oct:
Jack leaves but Ronnie stays to be near Roxy despite leaving her sad and alone
early Nov
Roxy returns, is shocked Jack has left. Feels guilty for leaving Ronnie knowing that she chose her over Jack.
late Nov:
Roxy's wedding - Alfie jilts her
early Dec
Ronnie is there for her ungrateful sister again

She may well have things planned up, but all Sam has said is that she only signed for six months as she wanted to see first how Ronnie will be received before she makes a decision as to whether to stay longer or not. She said that sometimes it is hard to catch the old magic and what made a character great, and that she doesn't want to be in a position where they are flogging a dead horse with Ronnie. She wants Ronnie to be well received and a great character again.
I have seen various TV interviews that Sam has given and read others and she hasn't said anything in them about any projects coming up that would determine whether she stays or goes.
So far the reception for Ronnie has been positive so if that is the factor and all Sam was waiting for than it is a good start.

Also with all these axing, (fantastic ones at that), DTC will need to hang on to the best characters and actors EE has, so hopefully he is convincing Sam to stay as we speak.

If that is the case though I am sure Sam would not sign anything until she knows what story they have planned for Ronnie.
She gives the impression that she cares deeply about her character.

Roxanne never learns does she?
Anyway it is Alfie that really annoys me. What gives him the right to make Roxy chose between her sister and him. He knew from the beginning that Ronnie was Roxy's sister.
I wish he was on the list of the axed characters too. He drags Kat down too.

The worse thing is he know he doesn't love Roxy but is still using her.

Roxy deserves everything that's coming her way. She was a fool for getting together with Alfie so soon and now choosing him over her own sister. Pathetic.

Yeah I think Sam and DTC will discuss what plots there can be for Ronnie. They may both decide that there is nowhere else to take Ronnie but at least it would be on her terms. I'm sure if they can keep Sam then they will. Money would be a key factor as Sam is bound to be on more money than any of the 7 that has been axed but that does free up the wage bill to pay for Sam long term.

I did read that Sam was holding out to hear about another series of Mount Pleasant but I don't know of any other projects. She said she had done everything she wanted in the 2 years and was happy to be going back on EE. If Patsy Palmer can get special treatment holidays every year than I'm sure Sam can get breaks to film other shows too.

Check out the spoilers for w/c 7th Oct.

8th Oct is going to be

Lindsey Coulson interview snippet:
Who’s been your favourite on-screen fella?

Poor Ronnie. Abandoned again by Roxy.

All I can say is thank God Phil is supporting Ronnie.

Jack's exit is really soon isn't it, and there has been no build up. He doesn't even feature in the spoilers much. Pretty sure it is all to do with Ronnie putting Roxy first.

Ronnie always puts Roxy first unlike Roxy who always puts any men and herself first; Archie, Danny, Michael, Alfie. It would be a nice change if for once she put her sister first.

You could say Roxy has been too thick to notice in the past but after Ronnie finally opened up and told Roxy she was lost you'd think even Roxy's air brain would have taken that in. But week later and its back to selfish Roxy!

In some ways, Roxy has grown up but only when she thinks she has. The proof is she hasn't and probably never will.

And isn’t it ironic that Ronnie is described by some as not a good sister and that she bosses Roxy around, way too controlling etc.
She may be controlling sometimes, (in the past mainly) but that has always been to protect Roxy who otherwise would have gotten herself in some pretty big mess, Damien anyone, Denny? Given that Roxy hasn’t developed any brain cells despite being proved wrong time and time again, it is a blessing for her that she has such a caring and understanding sister in Ronnie.

If anything it is Roxy who abuses Ronnie's love and care most of the time and uses her.

I do find their relationship endearing but Roxy does get in my nerves sometimes. I suppose her character is forever meant to remain a big spoilt kid.

But I guess that is one of the Ronnie traits that we like so much. If Roxy was all lovey dovey it wouldn't be the same!

Part of why I like Ronnie is that she is alone sometimes even with a sister who doesn't understand her.

True and like you say it is a big factor in what makes the character endearing despite her flaws. The viewers feel sorry for her because she has no one that she can rely on even through her darkest times and she has been through so much.

I'm loving having Ronnie back, tbh haven't watched Eastenders an awful lot since she left. Hope she decides to stay on longer than 6 months.

Looks like Jack leaves on 15th October. WIth a character of his background its a disappointing exit but I guess that sums Jack up really. He has never quite delivered as a character.

I guess this means Jack won't say goodbye to Max, Roxy and Amy

Week 42

Monday 14 October
Jack throws a flat-warming party to lift Ronnie’s spirits, but Phil makes it clear that he will not be going as he doesn’t approve of their relationship, which tests the Mitchell loyalties.

Tuesday 15 October
After being reminded of the life they could have shared together, Jack and Ronnie are forced to question their entire relationship.

Thursday 17 October
Carl continues to put pressure on Ronnie but she is pleased when help comes from an unlikely source.

Thanks for all the spoilers. Bit of a weak exit for Jack, who been part of EE for 6 years.

Think the unlikely source of help is maybe Sharon or even Kat

This is big part of the reason why I'm glad he's finally leaving. Ronnie needs a love interest that's a character in their own right and can work with/out her.

Jack and Roxy have not worked at all for me without Ronnie and their entire existence as characters just revolved around Ronnie. It was obvious for a long time now that TPTB don't really see Jack as anything other than a love interest for Ronnie and joke of a father to all the Mitchell children.

Ronnie's exit and losing James gave them the perfect opportunity to turn his character around - notice his kids etc or make him dark - introduce his past but instead we had threesomes with some flight attendants, 'relationship' with Sharon and being pretend daddy to Denny.

Good Riddance. No offence to the actor who clearly deserved better.
