Still here. Just finding it hard to juggle work, studying and watch EE when I can.
Loved Sam lighting up EE tonight. When Phil had a go at her, I was waiting for her to do her usual sigh... She half smiled! Then later when she did sigh, I cheered. ![]() Keeping myself entertained with Veronica's sighs.

![]() ![]() ![]() No Ronnie again tonight ![]() I really struggled to watch last night’s episode and kept checking the time. Alice and Tamwar's sex life had way too much screen time. I can't see how anyone would be interested in that drivel. Drivel it was lili, drivel it was. |

Don’t dare to say that in one of the numerous Sharon threads Ems.
![]() I made the mistake on posting in one or two, mainly because Ronnie was being blamed for Sharon remaining in the back corner, questioning whether Sharon still fits in EE. ![]() I don’t hate her character or anything. I am extremely indifferent to her but I really don’t see how she can fit in EE. In addition to all the alpha females already in EE, Kat, Janine, hopefully R&R, Bianca, Shirley, Denise, Carol etc, and with the new castings of two new female characters, (Shirley’s sister and sister in law), it means that EE has so many female characters around that age range and something has to give. You can not accommodate so many characters and give them all the air time and space they deserve or need, to justify the wages some of them must be on. Some of the big names need to leave and Sharon’s return has been a disaster. I respect her history and her once dominance but she does feel like a spare part at the moment. ![]() ![]() Ronnie can not POSSIBLY be blamed for Sharon being in a corner. She has been there since she arrived. How can people say that, glad you stood for her. ![]() I agree with everything you said, epesh BIB. |

I just realised that we have a lovely scene coming up with Ronnie and Lola on the 8th of October when Lola comes up with an excuse to leave Lexi with Ronnie to make her feel positive about herself and that she can be left with children.
These two are going to be so sweet together. ![]() Do you think that the unlikely person that helps Ronnie with Carl is Kat? I want it to be Kat. Can Carl just do one already? |

according to Mona in the wedding thread - Roxy does a runner.
I bet Alfie eventually needs Ronnie's help to bring her home!

Ronnie's been in 11 episodes out of 16 but it doesn't seem like it because her scenes have been very short or irrelevant.

Ronnie getting all the Mitchell teenagers, including big teen Roxy under her wing ![]() ![]() Ron asking Phil about Shirley made me happy for some reason. Maybe because Shirley was nice to Ron when she returned that first week and knowing that next year is likely to be the year of the Carters’, having Ron in great terms with Shirley is fab.

Apparently it's Alfie who does a runner.
http://t.co/uLVSBsQqkk I can't wait to see Ron take on Alfie. |

Yes indeed this must be it, the massive storyline that Shane was talking about.
It is repetitive as hell with Kat and Alfie's previous scenario with Andy Hunter, but it has also traces of Jack rushing to the airport to stop Ronnie from leaving. It would have been nicer for Roxy’s character to have been the one to leave Alfie and choose Ronnie. This way is the same story. Roxy has no choice but to go back to Ronnie. It would have been better to have been her choice. I suppose this way though it leaves Alfie with no leg to stand on when it comes to being hostile with Ronnie. He has to be really apologetic for dumping Roxy. |

Some excellent Ronnie scenes today and they weren't short scenes for a change!
Michael and Ronnie - great pairing. Jack and Ronnie - I guess we have to enjoy the last 7 episodes of them Roxy and Ronnie - I liked the scenes but I hated the way Roxy dismissed Ronnie before she even said anything at the park. I was like Listen to your sister for once Roxy! - you wanted her to open up to you and when she does you moan about Alfie! David and Ronnie - crossing paths on camera! Joey and Ronnie - I swear he's Jacks son. He has that same caveman expression and does what Ronnie says! |

Yes I loved all her scenes and the fact that this was somewhat a Ronnie heavy episode.
As one of those people who doesn't mind Jack, I liked Ronnie's scenes with him, eventhough I can't invest in them because Jack is leaving, so nothing will come out of this. It is lovely to see Ronnie and Roxy together. As someone said in another thread, the chemistry doesn't have to be just about couples. There are a few people that have such great chemistry with each other and just work great together. For exmaple Phil and Grant they work brilliantly together and so do Ronnie and Roxy. |

![]() ![]() DS has a lot of Ronnie fans: http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/soaps/s2...r-picture.html I was on the BBC site earlier and they had a poll about whether Alfie should allow Roxy to see Ronnie. Whilst the poll was in Ronnie's favour (75%) the comments were mostly pro Alfie. I guess they hold back the "hope Ronnie decks Alfie" comments - also maybe they know Shane reads that site and want to keep thinking how loved he is

Thanks for that Lou. I never watch this programme either but will tune in this week. Sam and Rita's suddenly joint appearances now, remind me of their original appearances i.e. the one on Jonathan Ross show, when they joined EE in 2007. Hopefully Sam will stay longer.

Alfie is completely out of order. I don't recall him having had a lobotomy. He knew that Roxy was Ronnie's sister when he got together with her. Forcing and bullying her into choosing between her sister and him is wrong.
I can't wait for Roxy to split up with him. It is easy to forget that Alfie has quite a nasty side to him with all this dell boy act he has going. But this reminds me of the time when he treated Kat so horribly over Andy Hunter. I also hope that this storyline will be Roxy's. Once Kat and Alfie get together there is not going to be anything interesting to be explored in the context of aftermath. The aftermath is the impact it will have on Roxy. That is where the drama lay. |

Didn't think much of that ep and then saw it was written by Emer Kenny.
Has she written any stand-out eps that you know of? |

That is where the drama lay. Kat's constant lying and cheating, and Ronnie taking and keeping Tommy. His anger bubbles and like with Kat and Andy, when he erupts he is quite nasty. If Kat and Alfie are going to get back together, I hope they ride off into the sunset again. Because after that, what is left for them? Oh wait, yet another cheating storyline. |

Is it me, or did Ronnie's hair seem longer at the start of the episode?

![]() ![]() A more enjoyable episode tonight. My favourite Ronnie scenes were the ones she shared with Alfie - despite him raging, she still held her own and kept strong. I was really impressed with Rita Simons tonight. As much as I wanted Roxy to tell Alfie where to go, I don't mind waiting a little longer as I have a feeling the "fun, feisty" Mitchell sisters Lorraine Newman promised in the return press release will emerge following Roxy/Alfie's split. Can't wait for a fully fledged R&R reunion, and I hope the story's conclusion focuses more on Roxy than Kat and Alfie. Roxy warrants a lot of sympathy after this year! |

I agree Rose - Addict. As much as I too want Roxy to show Alfie the door (and literally the door in every aspect because the pub belongs to Roxy's family), it is best this way for Ronnie and Roxy in the long run. I know I have been saying that I would have wanted this to be Roxy’s decision to walk away and choose Ronnie but there is more potential this way. Roxy is clearly the victim here and although it is a hot potato, people seem to, by a large have a lot more sympathy for Ronnie too. So seeing Roxy hurt and dumped, lonely and heartbroken and Ronnie picking up the pieces is potentially going to be great viewing and considering that this is all being filmed whilst DTC is already in his post, makes me feel a bit reassured that he will bring the Mitchell sister's magic back.
I can't wait for those scenes. |

The wedding is probably in early December and Roxy will be depressed for a while having been dumped by Alfie.
