The Saturdays on Strictly please.

Was thinking that the BBC give us predictable artists like Duffy, Beyonce Knowles, Annie Lennox etc. Where are The Saturdays? nowhere to be seen, please BBC if you can be a bit more customer friendly i would be very greatful.

About time the management of the show booked this act as they have spark about 'em. I have been listening to therm on You Tube and i will post a link of which the show is missing badly.

Here is ego they did: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Umag84Fqk4I

How comes the management of ITV can book this act for DOI? yet BBC cannot do for SCD. Makes no sense whatsoever. Just think there needs to be more variation instead of regularity.

Doesn't it depend if they have a single / album to plug?

There is that to consider too. Just that BBC seem to me to book the same sort and it doesn't give any real variety of ya see what I mean.

Maybe they want acts with actual talent

That's no indicator of actual talent!

Just look at who presents it...

There is that to bear in mind too.

The Saturdays have been on both sytycd and tonight the night which are both BBC shows - they were on doi because they had a single out at the time. If they have a single out when strictly is on they will probably be on scd.

I do hope that the BBC book better acts this year and that acts aren't made to choose either x factor or scd. Though take that on both shows the same night was overkill but that hardly likely to happen this year

The Saturdays don't have any talent - they can't even sing live ...

So why should SCD play host to a group that can't sing in tune? No wonder their records are awash with Autotune ...

I'd rather watch Duffy, Beyonce or Annie Lennox any day. And I don't particularly even like any of 'em, either!

Them performing on Tonights the Night is classified as live mate. It is trendy stuff my man.

I'd love them to get Adele, Rumer & Caro Emerald.

Adele has performed on two seperates of DWTS now- it's not fair! I want her on ours!

Adele, The Saturdays, Runner and Cao Emerald should be chosen.

In relation to The Saturdays they could do Notorious and All Fired Up as tunes as they are vibrant tunes.

Another reminder how good they are and what SCD are missing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d-OBAXHfgqE

Please can BBC book 'em for SCD?

The Saturdays! you have got to be having a laugh. Unless you are a 14 year old girl that is.

Don't buy into it to be honest. I am 30 years old male and I like 'em. Then again if you were not a fan of Bananarama in the 80's then the Saturday's are not your scene. They managed alright on Tonights the night. So by that estimation they should do well on other shows like strictly come dancing.

Thought you meant as competitors - Rochelle has, of course, had a brief bash at it for Children in Need.

I don't want to see the Saturdays on SCD because they murdered a fav track of mine 'I just can't get enough' by Depeche Mode

They're probably nice girls but they're just symtomatic of whats wrong with much of pop music today - manufactured and over styled - all image really

I wouldn't compare the Saturdays to Bananarama. At least Bananarama in the 80s had some really good tunes - wouldn't actually mind rather seeing them on SCD as an act or as contestants

I'd like to see them as an act performing too.

One of them (Vanessa) appeared on PtO last a year.

A diva and a pain in the behind.

Bananarama were a completely different kettle of fish to The Saturdays. Let me count the ways ...

[1] Bananarama were not a manufactured group, put together by a record company desperate to replicate the success of another all-girl band. And The Saturdays still can't hit the heights of Girls Aloud ...

[2] Bananarama were never short on personality or opinions - something you will struggle to find with The Saturdays.

[3] Bananarama did not feel the need to dress like skanky ho's in order to sell their records. The Saturdays, however ...

[4] Bananarama did not have their vocals swathed in Autotune to conceal any vocal limitations they may have had. They might not have been the most brilliant technical singers in the world but that never mattered. The Saturdays, however, don't appear able to issue a single that doesn't have their vocals distorted ... and the previously posted clip shows why: they can't sing live.

[5] Bananarama weren't afraid of writing songs that tackled issues ('Rough Justice', 'Robert De Niro's Waiting'). The Saturdays don't even bother (when they actually write anything of their own - which isn't often).

And, finally, [6] Bananarama ALWAYS had a sense of humour about what they did. They never smacked of desperation and always had their tongues firmly in their cheeks ...

Enough said?

And yes, Bananarama as SCD contestants is actually not a bad idea!
