EE Lighting!
Jumpy
31-08-2004
Is a child doing it? What is with all the big shadows? I first noticed this a while back in The Truemans house and these massive shadows of the characters, like a spot light was on them! Then again last night with Dot and Jim.

I did begin to think, I wonder if it is meant to be like this...so I looked around my house and there was faint shadows that were small!

WTF is going on? Who is operating the lighting equipment?

Lol, no. Watched on 2 different TV's. Not meaning to start an argument, but it the lighting is no way near as dramatic in Corrie/Hollyoakes.

different soaps use different lights for their interior scenes :
EE looks grey, Corrie and Emmerdale yellow/orange; H&A and Neighbours red/orange.
Sons & Daughters looked relatively normal though, they knew the most natural light is one with a lot of blue as it is outside on a sunny day.

Thank god i am not the only who noticed this!

It is a bit doggy, i mean no wonder every time you look at someones face in EE they are always a bit sweaty and greasy around the temple of their face.

Get it right DE! And yes i know i said DE, but there is a reason why i said DE and i am not saying why.........Isn't it obvious?

Lol, no your not the only one to notice Lala. I eas getting annoyed (sad I know) as for my A -levels in media we studied soaps and how they portray realism and how lighting was one of those. In films it is used for effect, it should not be used like this in soaps as it is supposed to be real!

I'm not too keen on 'films are supposed to be', 'soaps are supposed to be', it ruins the creative process and that's why some soaps and the movie industry are stuck in rut.
As for make-up blunders only a woman would notice such a thing so I'm not bothered about them.
