Oh I didn't see this!
Can't wait for 'A Creature I Don't Know', I very much hope and suspect it will be as fantastic as her two previous albums. |

Judging by her interview in NME this week, the new album is going to be very different from her previous two.
"A gentle maiden no more, Laura Marling is tackling sex, jazz, plugged-in rock and hairy man beasts on her new album 'A Creature I Don't Know'." - that's the kind of tag-line/headline thing. |

I've been listening to Ghosts since last night. It didn't really grab me when I first heard it last week but I love it now.

New Romantic is lovely - was she really on 16 when she wrote it?
![]() I noticed that NR isn't on either of her albums though - did she release any EP's before Alas I Cannot Swim and I Speak Because I Can? |

Is New Romantic a bonus track or either of the albums or was it never included?...
I don't find the tune of 'New Romantic' as good as some of her others which use some of the same ideas. Words (which I guess is your main intrest) display typical Marling originality though. I'm more taken by the coincidentally named 'Typical' off the same disc. |

I haven't watched the documentary yet though I intend to at some point today.
I'm also going to pre-order ACIDK in the hope that it arrives a few days before release! |

So have you watched the documentary yet^^^
it's beautifully done, i love how so much detail and thought goes into such things. Loving the sound of her new album, don't think it will be my favourite of hers long term, but it's another album that has it's own feel and emotions going on that it will have it's time and place. And you can hear the growth and confidence in her mature. It's scary to think what she could be writing in 10 years time. |
