The thing about Gaga is that possibly, in Madonna's eyes, she doesn't need any collaboration with another star. I personally think that Madonna and Gaga will probably never duet together. Gaga anyhow, will likely fizzle out in a couple of years time so for Madonna to "prop up" someone who may no longer be relevant would not be a good career move.

Britney however seemed more in awe of Madonna and genuinely wanted to be part of the Madonna success. That's why their collab worked.

I think above all she was flattered, but nothing was confirmed....and dont think it should be. I think Madonna will be asked and she will be classy about it as ever.

To be honest it was fan disappointment. Rolling Stone ass kissing, and massive backlash to be honest. And also overhype done the wrong way to be honest.

But at the end of the day one was a disappointing lead single (better as an album track strangely!) and the other is an immortal album with one of the best videos ever made

But yeah i love that Madonna rarely collabs on vocals! and for gaga and M to do it it will need to be special! Wait for Born This Way Ball to end and Madonnas next era to end (both i dont want to end however) and in a couple years time it will work definitely!

Aside from that, I think Madonna liked Britney.

Oh, and American Life flopped and she was re-marketing herself as a dance-pop act for Confessions.

I wanna see how exactly gaga will sustain herself i believe that Madonna will push out this new era! Make it bigger scale defnitely and tour globally and make it a huge EVENT! And gaga will tour, perhaps release an EP or remix album etc.

and i would love to see how it would work. If gaga is not at the popularity levels she is currently then maybe we will never see a collab. BUT if she sustains it we will see.

Dont forget also that Britney was on her 4th album and Stateside she was being boycotted too! So it could still work.
