Don't get defensive about him, people like him otherwise he wouldnt be a comedian, I personally dont find him funny and you do, I am not gonna have a keybord war over it lol.
What? I didn't say any of that lol. Didn't say whether I found him funny, didn't say you 'should' find him funny, I wasn't defending him and didn't say I wanted a war about someone else's comedy preferences. I was taking about the mad idea that Brand is posh and I was regretting that anyone should be condemned for using big words.

In fact I would say it's futile to tell someone else what to think about any kind of art or artist when the subject is completely subjective. We like who we like.

BTW I do not find RB very funny.

It's weird how this exact same thread surfaces every few months. obviously not by the OP, but i think if you searched the forum you'd find at least half a dozen threads about "comedians i don't find funny"

Non of the current so called comedians even make me smile, cringeworthy at best.
I feel exactly the same, to the extent that whenever I hear a "new comedy talent" introduced for the first time my immediate reaction is scepticism.

Jo Brand
Russell Brand
Ricky Gervais
Michael McIntyre
Victoria Wood
John Bishop
French & Saunders
(won't you go home) Bill Bailey
Baddiel & Skinner
Paul Merton
Ben Elton
Jimmy Carr
Eddie Izzard
Ross Noble
Reeves and Mortimer
Harry Enfield
Alexei Sayle
Catherine Tate
that will do for a start

edit : yes and Johnny Vegas, Alan Carr, that middle eastern bloke who did the car insurance ads, James Cornden, Sarah Millican, Miranda Hart, Steven K Amos

Jo Brand - has the delivery of a fat Julian Clary
Michael McIntyre - about as funny as having a log the size of Essex stretching ya crack!
Gina Yashire, Andy Osho - is it 'cos they is Welsh?
Jarred Christmas - just... why? (is he actually famous or well received?)

How anyone can say Ben Elton is beyond me. I know it is all down to personal taste, but wow! He may have a strange personal style to his delivery, but as a writer... he is brilliant. He saved Blackadder... the first series was a mildly funny look at history... but it focused too much on the history aspect. Ben Elton got involved in the writing for the second series... and the rest is history... as they say!

I hate comedians who use their race to get laughs. Change the record. It's not funny anymore.

Jimmy Carr.Too Crude.

John Bishop Too Slow and too predictable.

Jack Dee. Used to like him until he started popping up on every TV panel show.

S. Millican. Like a boring old farmers wife.

M Mcintyre. Like a naughty 12 year old schoolboy in a mans body and talks like one.

Many Many More in fact not sure I like one of them they are just unfunny ego's on TV.

With the exception of Lee Evans

Holly someone-or-other - did a 'sketch' where she dressed up and played a boy with mental health issues, interviewing 'celebrities' and asking rather inappropriate questions. I'm not one to be offended at all, especially not by comedy, but this was beyond the pale.

Mickey Flanagan, I think it is, who does a joke about tasting ketchup like wine in a restaurant with 'ambience'. Maybe it's just his voice I don't like.

Miranda Hart - haha, she's tall, falls over a lot and isn't conventionally pretty.. just don't get it.

ETA: John Bishop - saw him on Saturday night on TV, very predictable 'Women like shopping, men hate shopping'.. wasn't impressed

By "Holly smeone-or-other" do you mean Morganna.
And if you do I found some of the individual interviews hilarious and others horrendous.

Same here! And, sorry OP but I hate the word "get" used in the sense of not finding something funny or enjoyable. To me it implies that just because I watched one episode of the The Office wondering when I was going to start laughing (I never did!) I'm not as intelligent as people who do

Ricky Gervais (so punchable)

No one has mentioned that Irish twit Graham Norton, his humour is mean and absolutely loves himself.

Is he even a comedian? I thought he was just a rude gay Wogan! I refuse to watch anything that involves him. He is as entertaining as looking at used toilet roll after a lavatory respray!

Ricky Gervais!!!

I just DON'T get it ! He's smug ,awful and there just isn't anything funny about him .I've been saying this years ,while everyone has been raving about him! so glad to see others have the same opinion.

I have to say ,I do like Miranda Hart ,I thought I wouldn't enjoy her show but I've watched a few episodes and I laughed out loud which I hardly ever do at the t.v .It was mainly the bits with her mum though, she's great character .

Also on John Bishop, watched his Britain thing the other day ,his material was rubbish ,I could have wrote it! Maybe he it's supposed to be funny cos of THAT accent?

The scouse guy and the young scottish guy that are on everything at the moment, not a Mcintyre fan either but I can see why he's popular at least.

Ken Dodd. I walked out after 2 hours and he hadn't reached the bloody interval. He got bluer and bluer in an attempt to get a laugh. The last straw was to get his "neice" on stage to do some karaoke! One of the most depressing evenings I have ever spent in a theatre - and I've seen Ibsen plays!

Lee Evans is not funny in any way, shape or form and I maintain he is only popular because a great number of people "think" they should like him.

Ah, Doddy, a national treasure-unlike those dishonestly obtaining benefits. Still, you can be forgiven for defrauding the national exchequer, as long as you make people laugh....

Do you remember that stalker Doddy had, who sent him a dead rat?
