Shea Alchemy Intense Hand Cream wonder is ideal for super-sensitive skin.

I use The Body Shop hand cream.
It's very good and last's for ages.

I had one by Elizabeth Arden, stank of Spagetti Bolognese and Oregano, not the best thing you want on your hands.

I never stick to a brand, I usually just use my body lotion but at the moment I'm using a Champneys one which came in a set.

Another Soap & Glory fan here.

Avon do some really good ones too - the Planet Spa ones are really lovely & smell lush and the Avon Care are very effective too - I got three different ones on special offer (worked out 99p each) & they are so good that I haven't bought any S&G since.

I have used Soap and Glory hand food this year and really think it is good I am just running low now and been using the same one (125ml) twice a day since xmas !

I have just bought Body Shop hemp hand protector for when my S&G runs out to see how that is.

Another vote for Soap&Glory. I love anything by them though, I even have their perfume!

I have 2 favourites. The Body Shops Hemp, and Lush's Helping hands hand cream. Loads of other ones around, but two personal, and effective faves.

Neutrogena hand cream is brilliant. Concentrated and unperfumed, it does wonders for dry, cracked hands.

i have a bit of a hand cream obsession and use several on a regular basis (seriously worried about getting granny hands)

Lush - helping hands is a favourite
Nivea - pure & natural, a bit greasy but good to wear with gloves
Johnsons - hand & nail cream is fab, just discovered before xmas soaks in so well
Soap Co - patcholi & lavender, got this with a nail buffer kit so wasnt expecting great things but i love it!

i could go on

I personally love the Sanctuary hand cream. Makes my hands really soft and sinks it very quickly- I never get greasy or sticky hands which is a real bug bear with me. It's reasonably priced for a posh brand too.

My dad gets very dry chapped hands from gardening and he swears by the Nivea intense hand cream.

At the absolute bargain end of the spectrum, Wilkinsons Skin Therapy Hand and Nail Cream is excellent. It contains shea butter, vitamin E and Q10 and is only 59p a tube, or £1 for two.

I use aveeno by day but slather my hands every other night in cetroban (white cream from chemist) and then I put on some cotton gloves - obviously I'm in bed as I do this last thing. Sometimes I do take the gloves off half way thro' the night bit it does work- you can do the same with your feet. But be careful if you get up to go to the loo at night incase you slip.

Aveda Hand Relief - worth buying for the name alone. I like a nice thick hand cream

I have been using Lush's Helpling Hands but don't really rate it to be honest and I cannot understand all the priase for Soap & Glory's Hand Food as I personally think it's rubbish and the Dirty Works one (You Soft Touch) is much better for a cheapie although I'm clearly in a minority.

I like the Vaseline Hand & Nail cream - it's the one in pink packaging.

Hi all, another vote for L'Occitane and Body Shop Hemp Hand Protector here.

In the past I've had a couple of small tubes of L'Occitane as free gifts with Marie Claire... keep your eyes peeled! A good way of trying before you buy, although pricey it is very good stuff and lasts ages.
