Thomson DTI 6300 - Delete Issue
darrenfrith
16-08-2011
Hi, i have a Thomson DTI 6300-16 box and for the past month or so - the box crashes when trying to delete a programme from the library. I have to unplug it to get past this and box works fine to watch and record programmes, but then it crashes virtually every time I delete.

Has anyone else had the same problem? Can anyone offer any advise please?

Thanks,
Darren.

Have you got the latest firmware ( 7.o4)

You probably got a corrupt programme stored in your library. So you need to find it and delete or if not. last resort format the box. But it will wipe all your programmes but it might manage to cure the problem. Your box is know to crash most of the time.

Corrupt file

The following procedure should delete your corrupt file, if you have been unable to delete from the library:-

Corrupt file in the library:-

1. Evaluate what file is currently corrupt in the library e.g. are you able to scroll through various files before the box freezes or does it freeze instantly.

2. Press the menu button.

3. Scroll down to OPTION 4 and press OK.

4. Scroll down to OPTION 6 and press OK.

5. In the help menu press 1397 quickly and in sequence.

6. Scroll down to OPTION 7, Disable Library Video Window, and using the left and right arrow keys set this to YES.

7. Press the library button.

8. Highlight the corrupt file and press the blue button to delete and the then the green button to confirm.

9. After a few seconds the recording will delete and there should no longer be any corrupt files in the library.

10. After exiting the library the library video window should re-appear.
