Humax HDR - being thrown out of recording and back to live TV
Hello all,
had a search but haven't managed to find this problem as yet. I was watching a programme as it was being broadcast which I was also recording. I paused the recording to make a cuppa. I came back continued watching. By now I was 5 mins or so behind the 'live' recording. When the 'live' programme ended I was thrown out of my recorded version and straight back to live TV. So I then had to reaccess the recorded version via the Media List and find the part where I'd been thrown out at. This has happened a few times now. How can I avoid this? Is it a known issue? I hope I've explained it clearly. Thanks |

I am quite sure this has been mentioned and discussed before on here. ANYBODY? |

Yes.....this behavior has been discussed many times before....it's just the way it works.
The only workaround is rather than watch a program live after pausing. Watch it from the recording as it's being recorded. |

It's a well-known problem which Humax have decided not to fix. See http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showthread.php?t=1201205 and many others.
Some users (like me) are frustrated that the live pause facility works intuitively only if no other recordings are in progress. PVRs are supposed to be convenient, not a trial. Other users seem to believe it's not a problem at all, and that we're just whining. |

I find Sky+ and now SKY HD, much more fickle in ther operation. Both lock up on a weekly basis. I have had one Foxsat HDR in all the time I have had it. Yes Live Pause is a pain to me, as I have Sky HD which is great at that. |
