I tried to connect it to iTunes but still not allowing the network to move on O2. When I asked orange they are saying wait another 14 days. It's hard to explain to the call centres abroad aswell

Sorry but that's Orange giving you the run around.....Typical Call centre droid fobbing you off because he doesn't know the answer as you have gone off script...

You should have been advised that unlocking is taking up to 30 days at present. Obviously you weren't.

30 days? Can you get it done in 5 minutes by a bloke in a market stall or does the phone have some sort of unlock prevention on it?

The bloke on the market will do a software unlock, which will disappear if you ever need to reset your phone. Orange on the other hand will register your IMEI number with Apple so if you need to reset, just plug in your phone to iTunes and it will check it against that database and unlock the phone.
