http://conversations.nokia.com/2011/...s-begin-today/

I can't get it yet, at first it Ovi Suite said that the service was unavailable and to try again later, but now it just says no updates available. Tried it through the phone as well but that has just said no updates available all this morning.

Anyone else have any luck? I have a C7 btw.

Big risk with that is that you can't go backwards to the older firmware, so it would be like it or lump it !!!

Ah, but apparently thats not true. You can go back to the Anna firmware.

*edit* - have read of people who weren't happy with Belle, and went back to Anna.

Well I've finally got it! If anyone wants it but can't get it through the phone or Ovi Suite, then you can get software updater through Nokia Beta Labs, that's how I did it. First of all the new icons are pretty good. No biggie I know, but it does look nicer. Secondly scrolling through the homepages is a lot smoother than before. I didn't think I'd be that bothered by this but I don't think I could go back now. Thirdly, text input. The thing I was mostly looking forward to was portrait qwerty and it works how you would expect. Only downside is the enter button doesn't seem to work, at least now on the web browser, and that is why this post is one massive paragraph. Hopefully I will find a fix. Finally, the web browser is still a bit rubbish and it looks like I'll be sticking to Opera. There are a few other improvements such as the email application looks nicer, but I think that's basically it. Hopefully I will get to use the NFC at some point!

Yes this is true, as its an official 'alpha' release of Belle you can go back. Haven't read what people have said about it yet but may have a go myself !

Still no luck with Anna on my N8 on three yet!

seems the best way is to update through the NSU not ovi suite.

Put it on this morning.

Very good.

Browser much improved, but I'm still using Opera (which is still way better).

And Damian Dinning has tweeted about some camera updates in the next week. No actual details though.

Yeahp nice one flagpole, updated on NSU.

As others have said no real change in appearence, espeically as ivehad the anna themes for PR1.2 for month or so now. The real change is in preformance.

Overall, its improved.

Camera seems to be a little better (slightly revised)
Music player is worse
Most menus are faster - with the exception of my apps folder, which can take a few minutes (!!!) to open, despite only having about 12 apps.
Something has broken the old Nokia Battery Monitor, it just doesn't' update.
WiFi seems to "stay on", although that could have been the homescreen apps defaulting to on-line mode.

Just got it on C7. Using the beta software downloader. No chance with Ovi.

There was an app. Signal booster. When I clicked into it it shown system error and the app was gone.

Also when I power down and then power up.

I get a message "Phone setup - Feature not supported". However after this boots into normal action so I'm guessing this is a teething issue.

Nokia C7.

One thing ive noticed updating my n8 is this.. originally the screen had the purple tint when using the analogue clock... now the clock is perfect..but when playing back videos the purple in there with a vengance.
How can they have fixed it via the clock screen saver but not when playing back videos? Anyone else noticed this?.

I noticed the same; I'm guessing the error I get on boot is related to some failed attempt at configuring the application.

Typical you wait ages for a symbian update to come along and then ...
http://www.intomobile.com/2011/08/23...facebook-page/

I assume it would have been too much to combine all the anna and belle compontants into one simple update without delaying both of them anyfurther.
