Issue with Panasonic DMR-DS880

I have recently changed from Sky to Freesat with a Panasonic DMR-DS880 but am experiencing an odd thing with a few channels and would appreciate any advice.

For the first few days, I had access to all the Freesat channels, but after a few days I noticed that 2 channels (C4 HD and BBC News) were occasionally not available (“No signal”). (Other channels on 12606V and 11953H were similarly unavailable).

Reading through the forums I had seen comments about inference from Sky boxes (even on standby) and BT Home Hubs which I had thought could be a factor. (I had kept one input into the Sky box while waiting for my Sky subscription to end). However powering these down didn’t consistently change the situation.

I then used the Panasonic to scan ‘Other’ (e.g. non freesat) channels, and found C4HD and BBC News to be picked up there without an issue. And they’ve stayed consistently, while they won’t re-appear in the Freesat menu (even after re-scanning Freesat). Why should this be? I’m assuming the fact I can pick them up this way means I don’t have a dish alignment issue. Obviously it’s not ideal as I can’t use the Freesat guide to record programs on ‘Other’.

Thanks in advance for any advice/suggestions.

I appreciate that nobody on here may the Panasonic freesat boxes, but I was hoping someone could offer some general technical advice regarding satellite frequencies before I have to call out an engineer to look at my dish.

When I have my box set to 'Freesat' the following channels which keep disappearing have the following frequencies
C4 HD: 12606V
BBC News: 11953H

When I look at the frequencies on "Non-Freesat" where I receive the channels consistently, I have
C4 HD: 12612V
BBC News: 11959H

Why are they different? Is it not possible to change the Freesat settings?

Thanks for any advice.

Do you have both inputs connected on your freesat box, or do you have one still in your old sky box and another in your new freesat box?

I have both in the Panasonic Freesat box now (and have re-scanned for Freesat from scratch). The sky box is completely disconnected & powered off.
