I like it. Possibly the standout track on the album for me, so glad it's the next single.

Syco are going to lose so much money on this artist that it may even offset their tax liability for 2012.

Want U Back is her third single, DOTT isn't her second single.

Cher's 2nd single was With Ur Love.

Dub on the Track is just an album track that happens to have a music video. It's not very commercial, so they're obviously not going to release it as a proper single ever lol.

Fantastic song though.

You don't have to remind me it wasn't the 2nd single. Give the OP a telling off

Didn't realise it wasn't going to be released though (at least not yet I s'pose). Either way, I still like it.

They won't lose that much, plus the next single should do well and may just give the album a kick up the backside too, though she is under-performing slightly, which makes it all the more odd that LA Reid still wanted to sign her. But nonetheless I won't complain at a US deal.

Dub On The Track is one of my favourite tracks on the album personally, so I'm glad it's got some more exposure through SB.TV.

Time will tell. They are trying to push her onto a public that just aren't interested IMO (we all knew this was going to happen when they 'engineered' her way into the semi final of X Factor last year). And looking at the cast list on her album I'm suspecting that album didn't come cheaply. And how much has it sold so far? IIRC it didn't even break 50k in its first week, did it? Despite having similarly positive reviews to Ms Ferguson's album, its sales are nowhere near hers.

56k week 1, and actually it's doing fine. I personally think the album has huge potential, it's not all realised but it's an interesting and quite unique thing she's got going on. Rebecca F is obviously doing better but good as she is she's essentially an exercise in nostalgia...and i'd expect that to sell well, especially at Christmas

Time could prove me wrong, but i think Cher has something worth the label's input.

Like you say, only time will tell who's right and who's wrong. But there's every chance the album will be out of the Top 40 today (or very near it). That would mean a 5 week stay. Not great or even fine imo.

Yeah, Want U Back is the actual third single, she wrapped up shooting the video in the week and it'll be with us soon. DOTT is just a 'buzz' single, it's to promote SB.TV (whatever that is, but they funded the vid) just as much as to promote her.

Rebecca has sold almost 96k albums in her second week of release. I do find it kind of funny that Cowell undoubtedly saw Cher as the potential massive seller but he's been proved so so wrong. Serves him right, smug git....

PS Cher just clinging on at #40 on the album chart.

Personally I think several factors came together to bring down Cher's potential album sales. About the bolded statement, judges' houses was where it started to go wrong for her imo, which was down to Cher's unfortunate illness as well as just what seemed like an odd performance, ill or not. Imo the producers had it in their power to change that, while the public vote was yet to come into play, if they wanted, so I reckon they secured the public dislike towards her at that point. Since then her reputation has improved slightly, but the press have given her a hard time over the course of this year and there still seems to be a lot of anti-Cher sentiment around atm.

On top of this, the polarising Swagger Jagger and several album track leaks before the album release were also going to hinder album sales. Lord knows how the leaks only really happened to her out of last year's XF top 4, my only guess is a deliberate attempt on Syco's part to back-pedal after seeing that SJ may have put off many people but I honestly don't know. I guess it also doesn't help that as an artist she's not as generic as J-Lo, Kelly Rowland and the like, but I'm happy with that personally.

Imo her album deserved better, but alas, nothing can really be done. And like I say, she has a US record deal now, so LA Reid, for one, can't be very disappointed with her performance, can he?

Beautiful people on sticks and stones should be released. it's a beautiful song!
Agreed, that and End Up Here are the best candidates for the 4th single for sure.
