Yeah, right! AS IF.
the Italians are a lot more lighthearted aren't they?
Catarella makes our boy look like a genius!
Tesco were doing a special on a nice Italian Rose so I snapped up a couple of bottles of that. Very nice with some Quavers actually

When is this supposed to be set? They're talking Lire not Euros.
I'm finding the rapidly spoken Italian more irritating whilst trying to read the subtitles, than any of the other foreign language series previously shown.

This is a poor substitute for a decent home made drama.

Eating pasta with a spoon that big? Table set out even when alone? That's it, I'm in love.

They are old, they get up early. That made me chuckle. Good job they didn't have students waiting to be interviewed.

Wouldn't it be great to come home to that every night?

Oh yeah, where do we get one?

If there's an Italian stereotype IM hasn't shown by 10:55 I will be shocked. That being said I'm quite enjoying it so far, it's more light hearted than our usual Saturday night fare, and I'm almost looking at it as more of a comedy.

Yep. I suppose they were bound to crop up sometime. Especially in Sicily.

The local Mafia boss summoning the Inspector is another Italian cliche. I'm surprised the town priest hasn't turned up yet...

There was a priest behind the Don I think. IM is taking the piss out of his boss now. Saying the Don wants to turn into a grass.

Yep. All good things come to an end however.

This IM is totally unlike our previous Euro dramas. Kurt, Sarah or Laure. Sicily is beautiful though. I imagine watching all the IMs in a run would allow us to get used to the change in style. Not to be alas.

It's alright, but I much prefer the Scandinavian, French, German or Dutch language and scenery.

I agree that this isn't as good as BBC4's other Euro-Crime dramas, although if they showed more of them we could have a weekly "Oh Catarello" competition.

We'd run out of space in the first 5 mins!
