Everytime a civilian mentions a TV program, it's an ITV show, anyone noticed ?

Some time ago :
Oh, I can't remember what day it was but Emmerdale was on.
But Emmerdale is always on.

And today :
Oh, I was watching Trisha.

I guess they would do wouldn't they? They are hardly going to promote BBC programmes! No harm- just free advertisement!

Did you not hear Dot say to Jim on Eastenders yesterday:

"I say, Jim, did you see Corrie, last night? It's so brilliant at the moment. That's why I've decided I can't die, I need an operation, but record it for me!"

Anyway, they often do that, yeah. I remember a while ago some civilian bloke said: "She called the baby Bernice. After some bird in Emmerdale."

Footballer's Wives was also mentioned on The Bill, in 2003. Not exactly a great "advert" for it though, they called it "tacky".

Has anyone noticed how ITV seems to have stopped doing trailers for the Bill?

They did one recently for the wedding - it looked pretty high budget too!

remember Corrie a few weeks ago, on the same night as the Bad Girls finale...?
During the 8.30 episode Norris said "I've seen Bad Girls!" when talking to Emily about her not paying council tax and maybe getting sent to prison!

I remember in the final days of the original Crfossroads, the chef referred to Neighbours. He said it was "the best soap on the box"!
