Even so, I can't see his outgoings any more than £30,000 a year and that is something.
So he's banking around £180,000 per year. His taxis are free, paid for by LBC. Yes, he said he gets £3,500 a show. And he also goes into great detail what he spends and what he doesn't spend. ![]() |

He basically caters for airheads. Just because there are sufficient numbers of these sad tw*ts out there at that time of day listening to him doesn't make him a good radio presenter. He's one of the worst around, not just on LBC but nationally.

I would have thought a guy who makes a good living widecasting a show based on subjective speculation about other public figures can be speculated about in the same way by his listeners. good or bad - neither side know... they can only guess... limited by what is generally known, what he says (which may not be true - or at least not true in the context it was understood as by the listener) and their own subjective and often ignorant understanding of the world around them (personal empirical evidence is often problematic)....
and some people really do not know much about the world around them, which might be why his show is not questioned more. it is described as a "show" and that means jazz hands not news. his own responses to his fans social media contact is great evidence they do not understand what he actually says.... people are not equal as viable judges, even the most dedicated fan. |

Why does Allen talk as if he is a pauper. He has to be a millionaire a few times over.
Own home. Never takes holidays. What does he spend his £240,000 salary on??? He must only spend around £20,000 a year. On himself. And a few quid on his brothers. |

Love him and all his quirky ways. He sounds a very generous man to me.

Why are people so obsessed how much he earns and spends it on? He would be on more money than some at the BBC

He does go on! His daily show is a three hour monologue, a talk show with no callers or guests. To be fair, that can't be easy to do, coming up with so much material every day, and he can be quite funny at times, albeit repetitive at others. His 'In Conversation' interviews with celebrities are very good and well worth a listen. Cliff Richard said he had become a fan of Steve's early show when he couldn't sleep during the police investigation.
