I totally agree, her performance last week wasn't her best which is a pity because before she got lost it was going really well(in my opinion anyway).

I've been listening back to all her past performances and I'm so glad she's going back to "classic Janet" for me if she sings another song like fix you, your song, I can't help falling in love with you and I don't want to miss a thing she'll defiantly be a shoe in for the final.

Does anybody have any idea what she's singing tomorrow?

I totally agree you can never really guess what's she's going to sing which does add to the appeal.
I don't really take Gary's criticism of Janet seriously 1. because I have yet to hear a take that song that is not the least bit predictable and 2. Janet has her own style which is more than any of Gary's act's have.

Also what (in my opinion) has become evident from the M&S advert is that out of all the contestants Janet's is the only voice I could hear on the radio and instantly know who it is, the other acts however talented they are aren't really unique.

Bit nervous about Janet's song choice tonight. Somebody To Love is one of my all-time favourite songs (she seems to have taken on a lot of those this competition!). I really didn't like Joe McElderry's rendition of it a couple of years ago. However, I didn't much like Joe McElderry, whereas Janet is brilliant, so she surely has more of a chance of impressing me than him.

Well, her performance tonight worked for me completely. That was really really good, and whereas the last two weeks I have been concerned about the vote, this week I wasn't concerned at all. That performance will draw in the votes.

But what was all that crap from Gary Barlow about? That seemed go beyond a just a constructive critique, it was just plain unpleasent. Last week, indeed, every week until now, he has told her he was a "massive fan", and to go from that to what he said this week simply did not feel like he was being honest, unless he was lieing every other week! And he accused the others of "tactical critique"! So that alone has me a little concerned, as it suggests she is "out of favour" with the production team. Some voters are influenced by that sort of thing.

I still believe she will easily get through tomorrow. Regardless, I have already made my voting phonecalls.

Go Janet, that was a superb performance!

Loved her tonight thought she was much better this week. Gary was really annoying tonight. The main forum's being quite nasty towards her but what's new? We all need to vote again it looks like anyone could end up in the bottom 2 this week so let's make sure it's not Janet.

really enjoyed tonights performance , but i feel she is lacking alot of confidence , i don't believe kelly is getting the best out of her , x factor has not brought out the best of Janet yet i believe there is so much more to cone.

Time to get the phones out then. The judges (particularly Gary but also Tulisa) were completely unfair to Janet tonight. It was beautiful and simple tonight, just how I like Janet. Her best in weeks. Unfortunately, thanks to the mixed judges comments and the fact that her performance certainly won't appeal to everybody, I'm worried for her. I think the show is quite happy to drop her at this stage. I have no idea why, because she's the best it's got left.

The producers want Janet out, which is why stories (undoubtedly false) like this are leaking to the press, and Gary's been told to give her the boring treatment. We need to fight it! If there's one good thing that could come out of this series of the X Factor, it's Janet Devlin, but I fear that 7th place might not be enough to get her a recording contract after the show.

It's starting to become very obvious the producers aren't happy with Janet and I'd imagine it's something to do with wanting some control over her song choices and wardrobe. I think I read somewhere that you need to get to at least 5th place to get a recording contract.

I'm quite grateful that Janet has her own style otherwise I think Amelia may steal some of her votes but as it is I can see that happening to Little mix and Misha. If Janet's back next week I wouldn't be surprised if she's given what people call "the death slot".

Now it makes sense. I had been wondering since last night, why the sudden reversal from Gary Barlow, when he has been saying he was a "massive fan" of Janet since the start, and even didn't overly criticize her last week despite her slip up with the lyrics, he suddenly chose to lay into her this week. And add to that, I noticed Kelly being very subdued, whereas normally she is very protective of her acts from criticism.

Although I dislike believing a lot of the journalistic nonsense written about X Factor, there is an uncomfortable ring of truth in this one.

Mind you, it is likely exaggerated as usual.

my son told me that Janet tweeted shes got a new guitar today and as spent the day chilling alone just playing it.

Even if it's true, I respect her for actually wanting to have some artistic control over herself. Gary's sudden turnaround with Janet was just a completely wind-up. He's lost the little credibility he had left.
