I still love it, always watched it since I was a kid. Think they need a new presenter though, Daithi's not great.

*Steve is having a conversation with John in the background in the bathroom while Dave tries to persuade Ben to 'bury the hatchet' with Shabby. “They've misjudged the situation and they've misjudged you!” Ben claims that he will handle himself but then requests for Dave and Mario to walk with him.

BEN: I want you there cos I want witnesses!
JOHN: (Disapproves) You need to speak to her on your own!
BEN: (Bites back) WHY?!! You didn't speak to her on your own! You did a public bl—dy broadcast!
JOHN: I spoke to her on her own just now.
BEN: (Bickers) The room was full of people!
JOHN: It was just Josie! (John fails to see why Ben is too cowardly to approach and talk with Shabby on his own .. without having back up or anyone holding his hand) Why is it a big problem?

Of course it would make me a Happy Harriet to have John and Josie bury the hatchet with each other .. but the more people try to push this on them .. and pester at them .. the MORE opposed they will be to the idea! Maybe they would each like to make amends but don't know how to go about it .. or fear of how the other will react to them doing so could prevent them from even trying. I wouldn't want this FORCED upon them .. if they WANT to make peace with each other – let them do it of their own accord and in their own time.

Does anyone think John and Josie had a showdown over twitter (not only because the other lines of communication had seemingly been cut off) so that there would be 'witnesses' as such? John was clearly angry at what he perceived as Josie playing games and Josie was putting herself out there for the WORLD to see that she hadn't meant whatever she'd yelled at him .. and that she believed him to be her 'lobster.' Most of us were in agreement that twitter was not an appropriate medium for the battle .. but for whatever reasons it seemed they wanted their followers to view this! Or else, they had just become so caught up in their emotions that they just couldn't care less who saw .. and they just wanted it out with each other!!

JOHN: (Concerned) You're f—ked off with me as well aren't you, Mario? Tell me..
MARIO: I am a little bit.
JOHN: I know you are!
MARIO: Cos you told the snake! (He is referring to Govan here) I can guarantee you as soon as he found out he couldn't wait to..
JOHN: (Hollers) F—K!! (Drops his head in his hands, sighing sharply) It's so f—king hard .. f—k!! It's no secret that .. (explains his predicament that both groups have been telling him different things) what the F—K am I meant to do, Mario? .. I'm disappointed in myself .. I didn't know he was gonna f—kin' do that!! I told him to get him out of the sh-t not to put him IN the sh-t!! I didn't know he was gonna go rant to Shab and she was gonna come in and f—kin' give it to me ..

John and Josie both follow a couple of snakey characters on twitter, don't they? And the instant that they find out any small scrap of scandalous goss they are all over it like a bumblebee on a flower! Some of them practically pleasure themselves over inventing sordid sagas and passing it off as 'fact' and then get cheap kicks out of watching the fall out or their own little circle of 'fans' eat up every word!! It's so hard not to be fooled on twitter – as it is SO simple to make up anyyyyyything and pretend that it is true! Who do you trust? Who do you believe? When it comes to this kind of twitter account .. the answer is I DON'T!!! I take every word they say with a SAUCER of salt. Just because it is written, does not make it so!

JOHN: (Continues his stressing out) But they say exactly the same thing to me about the other person!!
BEN: (Tries to cajole John in to valuing his friendship with himself more and insinuate that he is to be trusted more because of this) We've been friends with John from day one .. he's only been friends with Govan a few days and believed him!!
John interrupts to correct him that he has in fact been friends with Govan from the start.
BEN: (Drones on snivelling) I'm genuinely, genuinely hurt! I've been saying to nameless people .. cos I'm never going to mention names again.. 'you've got John wrong – he's not abusive .. he's got a headache .. he's a bit highly strung .. he's had a bad day..' (appealing that he has spent all day sticking up for John) and then you dump me in it .. with the person that reviles me more than anyone else! How can you do that to me?
JOHN: (Points out) If he reviles you that much why don't you talk to him?
BEN: (Condescendingly) I'm not talking about him, you silly boy!

John definitely is not a 'bad' person and for that matter neither is Josie. Sometimes they may do 'bad' things, same as any one of us! Only difference is that sometimes with John and Josie it is put 'out there' in the public domain – for others to pull and strip apart, for them to criticise and condemn .. when we do similar things who really cares? Those who are close to us, maybe .. we don't have legions of fans and supporters following EVERY word we say and trying to catch wind of everything we do.. people snooping or spying, pretending to be our friends in order to extract information that can then be used against us. It has been out of hand now for months and I don't see this situation getting any better – unless John and Josie themselves team up to take action. Even if they just both tweet out and pretend to have made peace with each other and imploring the squabbling to end! And they each do/have at one time followed an account of a person who reviles the other. (Is it a case of anything you can do I can do .. 'harder, better, faster, stronger'? .. as their fave band Daft Punk would sing!)

JOHN: (Frustrated with himself) I f—ked up, I'll admit that .. the point is, I f—kin' told him, that's the point .. and I'm willing to f—kin' cop that on the chin. And I wish I could've taken that back but I can't .. it's my fault, 100% my fault – I f—ked up! I did.. I didn't f—kin' know that he was gonna rant and rave .. obviously, I didn't know that! But that doesn't take away the fact that I f—kin' told him so I'm willing to take the blame for that .. and I understand if you guys are f—ked off because I would be f—ked off as well .. but besides that, you continue to f—kin' talk to Shabby.. I know you do!
MARIO: He never does!
BEN: I'm polite when she walks by. You've got basic politeness muddled up with ..
JOHN: Let's f—k this sh-t!! I want to hear it all .. out in the f—kin' open, let's .. if you've got a f—kin' problem with me, if you've got a problem with someone else .. I wanna know what you think, Mario. I know that you're a nice bloke but just give it to me! Nah, seriously .. just f—kin' tell me cos I'm not scared!!
MARIO: I'm not angry with you, just disappointed.
JOHN: (Orders Mario not to hold back or mince his words) No, you don't have to give me that f—kin' sh-t, just lay it out straight!!
MARIO: (Insists he is telling the truth) When I'm angry I scream and shout (… and pout and throw a temper tantrum and huff and puff and stomp around with a face like a slapped slug!!)

Has John even once since the split taken ANY blame for his actions leading up to the split? I truthfully can't remember reading it if he has.. (that's not to imply that he doesn't hold himself accountable at all – he must see that it wasn't purely Josie that led to the breakdown of their relationship) Josie definitely did, but possibly took back her words. As we know, it takes TWO people to break up!! The blame doesn't lie solely at the feet of John or Josie – they both contributed to it. I'm sure they have both said and done things they wish they hadn't .. things they know they shouldn't have and would want to take back – but can't! I think they have shown regrets with some comments they've tweeted either instantly or even weeks and months after tweeting – when they delete them! Though, that doesn't really erase the words .. it deletes them from their twitter profile but once they are first put out for followers to see – they STAY out there! JJJ-er's are worse than elephants .. we NEVER forget!! I don't get angry with anything John or Josie do or say but I am disappointed every now and then .. it's their fans I get realllll angry with!! (hence my outbursts earlier this evening!) I'd even settle now, for John and Josie being merely POLITE to one another if their paths were to cross … And we all are painfully aware of how John and Josie behave when they are angry!!!!!

JOHN: But you're disappointed cos I said Shabby?
MARIO: Yeah .. no, no, because of who you told.
JOHN: In my defence, I know you guys don't trust him .. I'm well aware of that .. I'm not f—kin' stupid!!
DAVE: You've got to look at if from Johnno's point of view, he didn't think Govan would do that!
JOHN: I'm trying to work out who's my f—kin' mate and who's not .. (snaps) You roll your eyes, Benny but what the f—k am I meant to do? You could be lying just as much as what he could!! And if you remember, I came to you the first day.
BEN: I know.
JOHN: I'm not a snake!!
BEN: (Tells John that's he's so strong and tough) but you don't trust your instincts! From day one, I've known who my friends are.
JOHN: What about you, Mario? You're f—kin' friends with everyone ..
BEN: .. Acquaintances!

It must be immensely hard for John and Josie to now be able to ascertain who is trustworthy now – particularly when a new person comes into their life. We saw how John struggled with who he could trust in BB, other than his close friends he's known years .. knowing who he can trust must be even more paranoia-inducing for him! How does Josie know who is not sucking up to her .. only to turn on her at a later date? It must be so difficult to work out who are your true friends, who is trying to use them for their own gain, who genuinely likes them and has their best intentions at heart?? It's all very well to say trust your instincts but your instincts are not always right. I give out trust freely and naively .. I'd expect for John and Josie, especially now, their trust would have to be earned.

JOHN: I didn't know that you were sussing out, Gov .. (infuriated again by Ben) YOU ROLL YOUR EYES, BENNY .. do you think this is common sense?!
BEN: YES! (Mario intercepts that Ben had mentioned it before. John thought he'd been talking about Shabby)
JOHN: Does anyone see this from my point of view?!
MARIO: Inevitably there was gonna be a bust up between Ben and Shabby!
JOHN: Don't for a second think that I don't f—kin' regret that!! Don't think that I put you in sh-t on purpose .. or came in to rat on you or anything like that .. cos I'm the number one person against that! But I f—ked up.. I thought I was doing the right thing by telling him it wasn't about them two .. because they were about to go out there and give it to ya .. because they thought it was about them!
BEN: Should've let them!
JOHN: I had to defend myself first cos I wasn't involved! Alls I did was f—kin' listen! I honestly think you don't like them ..
BEN: There are two people I have reservations on ..
JOHN: But you continue to talk to them.. I didn't talk to Rachel!
BEN: Yes, you did!
JOHN: F—k off I did!! .. not to ask her (puts on sickly sweet voice) 'hey, hey, hey, how are you doing? Do you want a glass of water?'

John strikes me as the type of guy who sets out to do the right thing (or what he perceives to be the right thing) .. sometimes he makes errors in judgements but when he does he wants to rectify or resolve them (at least he used to .. above all, when it came to Josie!) and Josie said he tried to talk things through with her when they fought .. but after so many fights, I suppose you wonder how worth it all the rowing really is? John and Josie have both used twitter and mags to defend themselves from comments they and those who dislike them have made. John of course, is quiet on twitter these days (but that is not unusual! When he has something to say he'll come out with it) and there are some comments he is tweeted that he could defend himself over .. but maybe he really is just over it alllllll .. and couldn't care less what those who don't like him say any more. Hopefully their opinions don't mean anything to him! And I hope the horrible tweets to Josie don't get to her either

JOHN: No .. but if you can't sort it out .. then just drop it!! If she doesn't want to sort it out f—k her!! I don't see the point beating around the f—kin' bush.. there's a certain extent to being friends with someone and doing what you do ..

JOHN: (Angry at the interruption) Well, if you F—KIN' let me talk, I'll talk.
BEN: Why are you being so rude to me?
JOHN: Then why do you keep interrupting? (MAN! He hated being interrupted, didn't he?)

I don't think John 'prefers to have a blow up' .. I just think that he and Josie have the same fiery temperaments so these collisions, eruptions, and explosions were always going to be inevitably. If they felt they weren't getting the message through to the other, or that they couldn't reason any other way – then tempers were always going to be raised! I think this is exactly how John has viewed his split with Josie – they felt they couldn't sort it out .. so they broke up .. after weeks of digs and nasty exchanges (a little longer with some comments in magazines) they seem to have dropped it now (John has not commented on the matter on twitter for quite some time now) .. it is the supporters that have NOT!

Hiya how r u? I Keep writing twitter style!

Am whats it called..........oh....lurking as am watching New Tricks!! Dont laugh anyone but I like it a lot ,along with as I mentioned yesterday CSI, Poirot,Miss Marple,The Mentalist etc etc I soooooo should have been a detective lol imagine how useful I could have been on here if I was a private eye! I would find out exactly where Mr John James Parton is! what hes eaten what his score was on fifa how many mcds nuggets hes had ........important stuff lol

From the minute John and Josie split up the path to the present unpleasantness was marked.
Almost overnight it fractured and and those who could no longer support both moved off in search of a new 'home'
Before then there were posters who had more extreme views but this thread was always a good mediator ....... provocative and abusive posters were not to be tolerated. ...and it would seem that many who are now on the 'mouthy' side of the divide kept their true views buttoned up..............and now appear to be relishing the freedom to be as obnoxious as they choose without DS to curb them.
This thread as it is today survived because we wanted it to survive and we that are left have rallied with a clear vision of what is acceptable here.......there are still some confusions but mostly we support each other and defend against those who wish us ill.

The word 'Fan'......one word with two opposing meanings ........a fan can be a supporter ..a champion ...an enthusiast .....and a devotee ............a 'Fan' can also be .....a freak ......a fiend .... an obsessive ..or a groupie.
I'm sure I can recognise all of these different definitions ........I love the positives and I despair daily at the rest ......even though I don't do twitter and facebook they still creep in with their nasties.
Sometimes I have to write it down to lay it to rest..... and this is the reasoning behind this post ........a little dry I know ........so please just humour tynetart and it will pass .

Those that left us from here joined in with the individual threads for John and for Josie and are happy with that new situation .......and can be honest with themselves without the need to feel uncomfortable with the conflicting viewpoints of others........and many acknowledge the ties and history that they have here and we can respect each other because of that and harbour no bad feelings.
We can meet up at special times and share our thoughts and feelings about how we all met and the BB Summer that was so fantastic and awash with memories.

But as always happens groups within groups develop... each with their own agendas and then their voices rise louder ....overpowering the quieter magority ........they give themselves names to mark their identity clearly from the others ......and this is the birth of 'factions'.......
I will not name them .......I cannot bring myself to legitamise them by typing them out.
Some people joined in with the most innocent of intentions .........but almost always where there are sides .......whether 'real or perceived '.......extreme views arise ..... with ever louder voices and more fervent views.
I think someone mentioned in a post I read earlier about 'gangs'......and to a degree this is what can and does happen .........bullying PM's and vicious twitter attacks of venom and lies ...... hurtful accusations and slurs....illogical reasoning and provocative jibes.
All of this is more cowardly than a 'real' gang .....but the sense of menace and upset is just as palpable to those who are 'associated ' innocently and those who are singled out for 'special' treatment.

Those of us here are probably an anathema to them .....viewed I expect as weak and stupid fence sitters .........I expect also that they would love it if we went charging in full of righteous indignation ......we would be nothing more than fresh easy targets and more scalps to crow about.......................I'm not going to do that obviously but I just needed to say to all the poisoners 'I KNOW'
So I feel better after that ............nuff said ...............gonna find Cheeky's post and read her promised 'rant' .

Hiya Im soooooo relieved that at least tomorrow there isnt such an article as I am not too proud to admit - I may have bawled my eyes out in whsmith tomorrow ;I would have. I am happy knowing as little as possible on that subject (if I have to admit to a GF that is!) and am not gonna beleive any of it until John James himself pours his heart out on twitter or wherever and as thats very unlikely I will remain optimistic and hopeful x
