Sex-kittens, Sasha and Snakes??
What else can they possibly try to make the Ferreiras a success? So, there's the addition of a colourful, outgoing ex-pole dancer, with stupid toucan slippers and a bizarre interest in the dim-witted, unattractive brother. The foretold return of the equally dull sister, but this time around they're unleashing her on the square as yet another vamp. And now..... a snake.

Funny, on this and the bridesmaid thread we are the only people to have posted anything so far. It's as though everyone else is ignoring us

I am starting to find the Ferrairas much more bearable actually. They are no longer top of the axing list (Top spots=Spencer, Juley, Derek)

Tariq and Ronny are more bearable but I can't figure out why. Ash is still the best and would be most likely to stay, followed by Kareena, then Sasha, then Ronny, then Tariq, then Adi. Adi has so far made no effect on the show which makes him drag down the rest of the family.

I think Tariq is my least favourite of them, followed by Adi, then Kareena, then Ronny, and Ash is in general tolerable. Sasha would be better off without them.

I still find them awful, every scene they're in is so forced it's unreal.

I really don't see why people are so much more accepting of Kareena. I think she's extremely dull! The girl NEVER changes her tone at all!

SPOILER
In a dramatic, terrifiying halloween - anaconda style episode, the snake escapes and kills half the cast hehe...only joking. but the snake escaping through the square might help them interact more with the residents as they try to find it, and it may open a law suit if it bites / scares someone into falling and injuring themselves |

The FerreirARSE segments remind me of those bit's they used to do in 'The Young Ones' where they'd cut to a pee-take of other show's, mildly surreal and amusing but not really a part of the ongoing proggramme. Oh and FlowerPower if your reading you can suck my plumbs you intolerrable little ****.

I find them more bearable now we're not expected to believe the stupid kidney story or the disappearing Elvis-impersonating father (who's presumably in Memphis somewhere trying to prove Elvis lives). I'd be quite happy for them to stay and be in the background running the cab firm. But I hope the snake is the last comedy attempt. We can see what you're doing Eastenders - trying to make them lovable. You won't succeed - stop while you're ahead.

"Stop while you're ahead"? -- I don't think the ARE ahead!
They are still the most annoying bunch of t*ssers EE has produced - yes Juley and Micky are individually more annoying, but there are just so many Ferreiras that they win on the annoyance stakes. They are not funny, just give it a rest scriptwriters. My knowledge of pole dancing isn't extensive, but I thought it was the old type strippers who had snakes, not pole dancers. Health and Safety would never allow it nowadays. (At least, I'm assuming it is part of her act, not just EE showing us what a crazy pet Sasha has.(I was eating my fish and chip supper when I watched last night so I am hazy on the details). |

But how much longer can they continue to give a family with five members nothing but comical plots?
Not for long me thinks. They really don't know what to do with them so they think, 'a bit of light hearted comedy will do' but they can't give them light hearted comedy to do forever can they? This time next year they'll be gone. |

If EE stands any real chance of making the Ferrairas work they have GOT to split them up. It's just not realistic that they would all live, work and socialise together ALL THE TIME. Why don't they have any friends/girlfriends outside of their own group? This was really apparent recently when they were evicted from their house and Ronny went to stay at Pauline's. Has she spoke more than 3 words to him in the entire time he's been in the Square?
At least when they first arrived, the writers made some effort to involve them with other characters, although with very little success.... You had Kareena being blackmailed for jackets by Master Criminal Martin and her and Adi's 'mini-war' with Zoe and Kelly over their market stalls ( the excitement, I know!) Unfortunately for the gang they also got tangled up in one of the worst plots in recent Eastenders history - Shirley The Catwoman and her Noisy Neighbour! Who can forget the memorable Ash/Catwoman/Dan love triangle?! There was aso Ash's tryst with Teen Tempress Vicki Fowler and Ronny's forgetable love triangle (another one...) with Zoe and Kelly. Kareena also had a 'relationship' with Mickey that lasted around a week and the gang went on a bus trip to Scotland - the less said about that the better! Actually, now I see why they don't mix with other characters! |

Any one who knows the Eastend realises what a joke it is to have the asian community so under-represented. Try as hard as the writers can, they never seem to get it right, despite countless successful representations they could leech from - "East is East" et al.
The real failure of the Ferrairas is down to the writers' lack of genuine Eastend experience - having high tea in Hoxton is not a diploma in the reality stakes. And how do the writers try to recover from the car crash unpoplarity of the Ferrairas? They introduce Sasha - a Janet Street Porter clone in her twenties with flattering lighting! Jeez - some times I think it's not only the actors who have drug problems and delusions of grandeur. |

That's not even funny! Ronny is much more attractive than Adi, not that he passes for fit or anything..
