As some of you will know I recently homed a couple of kittens Eric and Ernie...well poor Eric had an anal prolapse which was stitched back in but unfortunately it came out again..well today he is going in for a major op to try and repair it but he's so liitle and it's a major op so keep your fingers crossed for him..Anyone else had this problem with a kiiten?

It's not something I am familiar with but I just wanted to wish your kitten well for his op xx

Well Eric came through the op ok but had a bit of 'aftershock' so he's spending the night at the surgery, but his vet is very positive for his recovery..so let's hope he has a good night. Thanks for your best wishes.

And now my page has adverts for piles cream all over it...

I hope he recovers I hate it when any of my dogs are at the vets over night so you have my sympathy.

Vet rang this morning to say he was lively and very vocal!
Still waiting for him to do a poo to see if his new bowel and bottom work...Poor Eric, she also hit me with the news he has to be caged at home and away from his brother Ernie for 10 DAYS!.. Heck that's going to be tricky..

Poor little Eric. Is he home now? Fingers crossed for a speedy recovery for him.

How do you keep a kitten caged for 10 days!! If he's anything like my Archie it's gonna be a nightmare.

Yay Eric came home last night at 8pm..the vet decided to release him home because he HADN'T done a poo...he promptly did 4 between 8.30pm and 11.30pm...

He's in his cage in the spare room with his bucket on his head, just hope he won't be too fed-up but we have to stop him from being active to give his wound a chance to heal so no leaping and rolling with his brother!

I love the name Archie..we had a black cat called Archie who was a very special cat..

Glad Eric is home safe and well, put an ad on Freecycle to borrow a dog cage for him, if you lived near me i'd lend you one of mine!

He's in a big dog crate..our vets lends them out..£5.00 a week ..A bargain, but he hates it. <<<< Eric's face.

He's good...He is having half an hour without his bucket head so he can have his tea and a groom..Ernie is in the kitchen much to his fury as they have to have different diets for the time being...fun fun fun

Poor little chap! My heart melted when I saw that picture.

Really hope he's back to his normal self really soon and back with his brother.

Poor wee Eric, I kust looked at the picture and my heart melted

Reminded me of the time my kitty had the old bucket head thing and wasn't allowed out of the house so of course they shot out of the front door at the first opportunity and got royally stuck (thanks to bucket head) under the wall

So I could pull them out

They got better but never recovered from the embarrassment of being seen in public with the lampshade on their head and being pulled free from a wall by a dressing gown-wearing owner for them and two for me
