i-phone 3GS snaped of on off switch

hi
The on off switch on my 3GS come off now i have to stick my finger in to turn off.
is there any quck fix that makes it easy to turn on and off i was thinking jam some blu tak or something in there.
i only have it for another 5 monthes then i can upgrade.

Is the phone under warranty. If so a genius appointment should see you walking out with a new phone. It may be worth trying it even if it's out of warranty as some people have been known to get a nice genius who will swap even out of warranty.

Failing that a local repairer will probably be able to repair it for cheaper than the £140 apple would charge for an out of warranty replacement

Take it into an Apple store. Chances are they'll just replace it.

I phoned the apple shop and hey said they can not repair that bit of the phone but they offer a replacement phone at £160 i think he said.
i probley wont bother as my upgrade is in feb so not to long and i get the i phone 4gs or 5 whatever it wil be!

Just go in and see them and ask what they can do. There's every likelihood you'll get a replacement. If you ring them, they'll just quote you the official line!

if you have the button still, stick it back in the hole and buy a case. Friend of mine broke his on off button months ago, now the case is on you wouldnt notice.

ok i have to try to get there soon then and try
what i have done temp is cut a small bit of plastic and i tiny bit of tape in it and it works a treat! dont even nottice
