What year was that then? and then I can work out my age when she left......I must admit I can't remember much about her at all......shocking, I do have a vague recollection that she was a good character, and that I liked her, and that she went off, a bit sharpish. But that is all!

Enlighten me!

Awww, no choice though, eh?

I have never seen 'Whatever Happened to Baby Jane' either. Never appealed or - I don't know, no opportunity I guess.

But since I've decided to plug Bettie Davies.....the ones that stick in my mind are =

The Old Maid = total massive tearjearker par excellence
Mr Skeffington = the same
The one where she is a twin and one is evil and one is good - never remember the name - is it 'A Stolen Life' ?

And of course - the epic - the great - Now Voyager!

ah you youngster's don't know what you are missing......*grabs walking stick*.....seriously though, all these films are soooo old, but some of them are seriously good...... if you see them in the library - get them out - they are good films. And massively, tearjerkingly, angsty stuff - I think Chryed fans would like them.

O/T - Chryed love Bettie Davies, Christian cries a lot and Syed rolls his eyes, but secretly laarves them.
BIB she left with Sean Mcguire - Aidan and went to Ireland with him. I remember when she was responsible for Roly's death well an accident but still....

Hah but it's true though, there are some fantastic old films out there!

Tonight seems to be going quick, it'll be spoiler time before we know it!

Evening guys and gals. What's all this talk about Syed running off with Amira? i know Johnny's doing panto but that's a bit of a strained s/l to explain away his absence, isn't it? I know the pressure from the family sides will be major but surely even Syed wouldn't do that after all the pain he's been through?
It was just a horrble imagining I had, about having to do it to save Christian

Cut for space:

January 13th 1994. I probably watched it, my mum was into EE at that time, but I don't remember. Obviously.

And yeah. No choice at all. I spent a year in a s**thole sharing a leaking bathroom with five people (which at one point had regurgitated potato in the sink for three days until the cleaners came). I can handle a shared bathroom. A lack of Chryedville I cannot stand.
Thank you......interesting...I was watching EE then, but my life was all work, work, work and strife and misery (nothing changes there then) - I was living alone, in my studio flat in London. Interesting. Thank you.

Nipple's turn?

She amazes me. She's crazy, but sort of amazing. Oooh can't wait for Beyonce either. She's cool. Pregnant and cool
Yeah... I used to love Gaga but I don't really like her new album And yeah, like I saw on Twitter earlier that fetus has probably already got a record deal.

I watched some clips of Beyonce earlier i was soooo happy for her when she announced her pregnancy, I squealed
I know! I was reading Twitter in bed last and nearly screamed

I think that the panto time will be unexplained. They just won't be onscreen for that time. They've been away longer with no explanation. Or, four weeks into the black hole, Syed will turn up briefly, talk about how he's got a postcard from Christian saying he's having a good time with his mother, and then it'll be nothing till panto season ends.

OR - they'll be on their honeymoon. Not leaving the hotel room.

/wishful thinking

If they make it to New Year without actually having tied the knot, won't it be the longest engagement in EE history? Seven months in between proposal and marriage? Unheard of!!

I can so imagine them on honeymoon. Seriously, they'll probably be glad if it rains because they'll have an excuse to spend the whole time like this!

I'm actually convinced they'll be on their honeymoon. It makes total sense- resolve the Amira stuff that's been hanging over them, get divorce, and all the trauma/angst/dramma being over. All ready to start a fresh period of Chryed, represented by them getting married. They go into a blackhole, and come back all refreshed and ready to take stuff on as a married couple. Pretty neat storytelling, I think. Good way of signifying the end of past Chryed and bringing in a new era of stories unrelated to their sexuality.

Thanks hun I'm sure I will, I think it's because I got up at 6:30 this morning and have been on the go all day... I was in Vatican City this afternoon

It was briliant, thankyou Yeah we could only stay for the weekend as my dad couldn't get more time off work, I don't think I would have survived much longer in the heat though
I always feel like that, it's amazing where you can get in a day!

Yeah, there was definitely no intention. I think they just stopped when they got bored. But they could have got bored a second too late - luckily they didn't, but they clearly didn't care. Christian wasn't important to them, they didn't care whether he was dead or alive. That's what scares me. They would kill him to hurt Syed, because they don't care. That really frightens me. Christians life means nothing to them - I mean, Syed's does, because they want him to suffer, but Christian is just collateral damage.
I think Quadim had it in for Christian too, after Amira mentioned him, but their patience only streched so far so they settled for attacking Christian at the time , although they would have gone for them both ....alhough I haven't watched it in a while. Yes, the cold-hearted, calculating lack of conscience is chilling!

Sounds good to me.

New Year marriage? D'you think they could stomach that? Could we stomach that? They're not going to have a Christmas wedding as I'm certain that Pat's departure will dominate, but I think it might be something big. I don't know. Will a New Year marriage bring the story full circle, give them all closure, to erase over those bad memories? Or would it be too painful?

I wish EE did cinema style trailers for things, with loads of dramatic music and clips. I'd love it if they did something like that for Chryed/Yusim/Amira.

Michelle Clunie posted this on her facebook with this message - "Please take a moment to sign a petition to stop the "kill the gays" bill in Uganda. We have a little over 2000 signatures and need many more for our voice to be heard. If by the end of the day we went viral with this petition, imagine the impact we could make!
~ Let's stand together in solidarity, one LGBT movement worldwide to end discrimination
" - everyone go sign!!

I don't think Johnny being in panto would actually be on screen until the beginning of February so they could get married at the end of January?

Oh, no, I definitely don't want a New Year wedding. It would just be distasteful to me. I do like my symmetry, but I really don't think Christian and Syed would ever plan their wedding for that date- it's cursed!- so it'd break the suspension of disbelief for me. I don't know when I want it. Definitely not NYD, though.

Well, it is a fabulous video! It's one of my anthems at the minute - it's quite Chryed-y as well:

Learning to walk again...
You can see I've waited long enough,
Where do I begin?
