They are a bloody hilarious band.
I could listen to Death to all but metal all day. Sadly there are a few bands in glasgow who remind me so much of Steel Panther, except they aren't doing it in a playfull ironic way, the leather trouser on a man is something best left to the past in most cases.

The thing is that they're great musicians - honestly, change the lyrics to 'Community Property' and that's a 1980's hair-metal No. 1. They sound more like Def Leppard than Def Leppard themselves these days!
Their lyrical content can be a little repetitive at times, but when they're at their best it's just hilarious. |

I now have the album - it's awesome! Just like Tiger Woods is one of the highlights for me at the moment! A musically awesome song that's also bloody hilarious!

If you haven't heard it yet, try "Asian Hooker". It's very catchy

And if you havent seen them live, you really, really should.
This is my favourite video of one of their gigs - they do the usual pulling someone out of the audience bit and it turns out he's pretty handy with a guitar ![]() https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FTq-TQ3Sldc |

Me and a couple of mates are trying to plan a weekend away in Manchester early next year to see them.
If not then we'll try to catch them in Newcastle. |

Their popularity genuinely baffles me. They're just a one trick pony cabaret act.

With more longevity than your average band it seems.

Longevity is no guarantee of quality
I'm panthered out myself, i've seen them enough times and didn't rate the last album all that, but there's still plenty of people who like them. |

They're a parody band and what i've seen and heard of them they do what they do well.
They're probably not a band i'd go to see every year or two but hopefully it will be a good experience and night out to have a few drinks and see them live. |
