my black bt vision box was delivered this morning, I've connected it all up, but can't seem to get it working? the fan is spinning and loud, but no lights on the front panel, and nothing on screen, box is connected to homehub by ethernet cable, and it's conected to tv by hdmi and by scart lead

Try disconnecting either the scart or HDMI. Could be wrong, but have a feeling that the original box would only work with one lead coonnected

I don't know if you have any other boxes connected to your TV. I would connect the vision box by itself initially. To see if you can get it going. with the aerial lead straight into the Vision box, then to the tv. HDMI will give a better picture.
