Not only can Chesney afford to pay for a flat and all the bills by selling plastic dog bones, he has enough spare change to put in a tin!!!

Katy is very attractive, isn't she?

I just don't know how the regulars can act their way through this pathetic story line.
It's not played for laughs and it's not taken seriously either. What is the point of it? ![]() Quote:
That's Kelvin Fletcher's sister.

Couldn't believe it when Mary came out with that!

What anoys me about the whole Fiz thing is that the prison governer promised her protection if she 'helped' them with the drug problem. Haven't seen any sign of it so far.
Also agree that Fiz a should stop being a wimp. She's got a baby to protect. If she can't protect her baby, the baby shouldn't be there. The Governor (where have I seen her before) switching and doing her sympathetic act, just to get info out of her. They could have made it a little less obvious by spinning more than one cell, they should have spun the whole landing/unit. The only real protection they could give her is to put her on seg/numbers, which isn't the mother and baby unit. Fizz going to another prison isn't likely to help long term, word spreads. |

Why couldn't Audrey afford to send David on a course?
I don't want any soap miracles with Kylie, particularly as they ruined Becky in the process of bring her into the show. I like Becky and can't stand Kylie, so they better do some good work with her, as some sort of payback. Audrey's made for sterner stuff than she showed tonight, sounds like a reason to just bin off Marc's character. She's quite capable of fronting something like this out. They want to keep that awful Owen away from Anna, only a matter of time before his mask slips, he can't keep up being nice for long, unless he's kicking kittens and puppies off screen and getting his nastiness quota in that way. And yes, she is tough enough to take gossip at her age. ![]() Becky was weakened with her Steve relationship - brought out all the bad bits in her. She's getting better now though since she's away from him - I still hope she ends on a high. And yep that's kind of why I want to see Owen and Anna together, to see if Owen actually can keep from being his old self for long, once he's got what he wants as it were. |

That was brill, Corrie plays a blinder.
I'm grinning like an idiot now. Audrey not wanting to put Mark 'through it', put herself through it more like, surprised he didn't copp on to that fact. Then again, look at Hayley's reception, nobody apart from Tracey mentions Harold these days. Quote:
Marcia, Gail and audreh all look alike

How stupid is Marc - as if if you'd reveal yourself as a tranny in a back street Salford pub..... He'd be in A & E in 5 mins....

There's loads of really decent conversational scenes tonight. Even if some of them have been questionable, they're still great to watch. I'm really enjoying tonight's double.

Part of their character progression?
At least they're not having her have some kind of epithany and suddenly changing into a nice person through some sort of Corrie osmosis. She's a nasty cow, perfect fit for David who's also got a skewed sense of values, everything is someone else's fault. The idea that she only got her job at the Salon because she's married to David, led her to think she had a 'right' to a job there for life and couldn't be binned off. Audrey has binned off David in her time IIRC. Have we had a believable reason why she sold Max, twice apart from greed? Why has everyone seem to have bought the Steve and Becky bullied me into it story? Oh Mary's getting some good lines tonight, she's airing all the questions that nobody else is willing to air. And totally agree re Mary. Quote:
I was sad to see Eddie go.....but I have to say, I love Anna and Owen together!

Audrey and Gail are always comforting each other after breakups with men

Has Marc/Marcia left??
Why is Fizz being a wuss? Fiz used to be A tough girl when she came in to the show. My advice to Fiz? Batter Ruth! But if MY baby had been threatened like that I'd have been straight back on the phone to Hayley to ask her come and get her back, no matter how heartbreaking it would be. |

Agreed. Why have they turned what used to be the rough and ready Fiz into a softy? You (and Prince Monalulu) are spot on when you talk about her bullying past, her care home past etc. This isn't a little girl from the suburbs who's led a charmed life and finds herself in these circumstances. This is Fiz who's had a hard life and with a mother like hers she should be able to handle herself. It's just not realistic that she'd be SO overwhelmed by it all.
But if MY baby had been threatened like that I'd have been straight back on the phone to Hayley to ask her come and get her back, no matter how heartbreaking it would be. If you'd come to the show in the last year it would be a complete mystery as to why Roy and Hayley would have been asked to, and accepted to look after Hope. Things really haven't gone too well with Roy and Hayley's 'daughters', that said they both seem to know they can always go 'home' which is nice. Fizz would be better off taking the phone receiver and battering short haired women into a bloody mess with it. |

The actor who plays Marc (Andrew Hall) is creepy as a woman, and creepier as a man! No wonder they are getting rid of him.

How exactly was Fiz supposed to have killed Charlotte, she was in Labour at the time John Killed her. The Doctor and Tina must have a different definition of Subtle to me, they claimed they were going to be subtle with their relationship towards Tommy them immediatel rubbed it in his face by going out somewhere special on a date with Tina all dressed up and everything. |

Dr Fit and Tommy would make a nice couple ![]() And I wish Hot Copper Redfern had shown up at the prison to charge dreary Fiz! |

Thought the aftermath scene in the Rovers was absolutely hilarious - stroke of genius having Mary in there too! I felt really, really sorry for Audreh tonight. I do think she is in a tough situation and that she was probably thinking she was far more accepting of it than she actually realized, but to be humiliated like that.. and for her to be drumming it into him the entire time, that she didn't want it revealed..that final scene with ehr and Gail where she was upset about being made a fool of, thought Sue Nicholls was fantastic, tonight, as ever. Also glad Audrey gave Kylie a bit of what for! Really like Anna and Owen's chemistry, they would make a brilliant couple i think, with a sort of extended family - izzy, katy, faye, chesney, gary - who conveniently are mates - would be great! And Katy really is stunning, i was suprised at how much she was showing, but then again i guess she's 5 months pregnant now or something! Time flies! |
