Yeah, Edward's on the left, but they do look very identical here. Gorgeous picture btw - I hadn't seen it before!

In my opinion it depends on the song because they're fantastic performers and have an interesting fan base in some European countries, but a catchy song gives you that little push for reaching a top10.
I don't know if they could win, because Eurovision is much more than a simple song contest (If only Ireland had more neighbours...), but it could be good for them reaching even more countries/viewers”

That reads as if there's going to be another Eurosong then. (more phone voting and anxiety!!) I was hoping they would be invited to do it and the selection would be of the song rather than the representative.

yeah, I agree. They would need a great song and yes, shame we are an Island with only one neighbour

I may have to go up to the North for it so I can vote

I'd love to see a new serious photoshoot of them, they're great at them

I think it's also because it hides most of their most notable physical differences: the pointy ear, the scars, the teeth.

It may seem silly but the times I've confused them were in pictures where Edward was doing the "John smile" and John doing the "Edward smile"
Anyway I think they enjoy confusing people:

How nerve wracking ...being in the UK I don't suppose for one minute I would be able to vote in that ..but at least WHEN they get through I can vote in the main show

I usually tell them apart by the lips but it doesn't help when they have their mouths wide open or broad grins! And , yes, they do like confusing people!

I could be wrong, but I'd say it's Edward on our left and John on our right...

We were all bags of nerves on here the last time and broke from all the voting! Hopefully , this time, Universal won't spoil the boys chances and leak any of their song before the Eurosong. I think they'd defo get the maximum vote in the public vote unless some other really big name with a huge fanbase was up against them.

For trained eyes we can see they've switched sides here.

Yes I'm already following you and you're following me — it's a really useful account you have there.

So the campaigne for Eurovision has really started now they just tweeted this: #JEDWARDeuroVision2012

They want it, so I want it for them. Ireland would be ridiculous to go through the same thing they did last year. Jedward for Eurovision!

They lurk twitter in their down time. It's ALL work for them, anyway. That twitter thing is a marketing tool and they know how to use it.

I'd love them to do Eurovision again! It was so much fun last time...the buildup, the excitement, the press conferences, the videos, the performaance etc..

Surely, they could get even higher this time if they go all out on a European tour early next year. I'm sure Russia, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Estonia, etc would score them highly. Plus, if there go to Azerbaijan, it'll be a new thing for them. They could win over Asia lol

I'll wave to you from my telly in Germany. I think they will be doing it. Ireland would be nuts to push someone else forward instead of Jedward.

And now for the SONG! I really do NOT trust an audience vote for the song at all!

If it even comes to that.

All those who would wish to be in Ireland should there be a vote as to whether Jedward compete or not in the same way they had to do last year, there were loads of UK fans who flew out to Dublin with their mobiles in hand to do just that. I can't imagine what their phone bills were like afterwards, let alone costs for travel and accommodation!

Although Jedward didn't win last year, there is a precedent for this in that Germany sent Lena this year again after she won last year. They had a programme on several nights for the German audience to vote for the song she would sing and of course chose Taken by a Stranger, which many of you will have heard.

If they do decided Jedward will represent withough having to go through the competition to do so as they did last year, I could see them doing this for a Song for Jedward Eurovision. Not sure it's the best idea, to be honest.
