That is a fantastic reception... I hope this means good sales for Victory.

I'm actually stunned. I knew they were big in Sweden, but those sort of scenes are really only rivalled by the crazyiness that follows them round in Ireland. I honestly never imagined that Irish Jedmania was replicable elsewhere.

Are they going to tour Sweden properly at some point? They really should. I know Germany's a huge market, but Sweden has twice the population of Ireland and, like other posters have said, it's a very big country, so I'm sure there are still lots of fans who aren't able to travel to Stockholm to see them.

So chuffed for them.

I don't know which XF acts have headlined concerts outside Ireland and the UK. Not many that's for sure. Maybe we should post in the MF about their european success?”

I think the only ones who have managed to chart in Europe are Leona Lewis and Alexandra Burke, so it's no mean feat that they're getting this type of reception.

Surely they will have a Swedish tour off the back of this silverhand. It can't have escaped the attention of anyone in Sweden that they're getting a massive reaction every time they go there, especially local music promoters who may be watching.

You've got to think it will happen. They've got to capitalise on popularity like this!

I'm reading on twitter that about three times more people turned up for the signing than were expected. Clearly they have hardly even begun to tap into this market. Maybe they can fit in a tour early next year after the second German one?

Btw, anyone got any thoughts on why Sweden, in particular, is responding to them so positively? Obviously they have a Scandipop sound, but, looking at these scenes, this clearly isn't just about the music, it's their personality/image that's drawing people in. I know nothing about Swedish pop culture, and I'm honestly intrigued as to why this is so.

I think the music *is* a big factor. Lipstick for example has a typical Scandi-pop sound and must sound very familiar to Swedish ears. Clearly the twins' image and personality is the other big factor....maybe they seem more exciting than current Swedish pop stars

It musty've been very dissapointing for the ones who never got to the front of the queue but atleast they would all have seen the performance.

I'm not sure why the Swedes in particular are going mad for Jedward but maybe it's to do with the Abba legacy and just loving glam pop.

There's got to be a proper Swedish tour now, surely. It does seem odd that they've really clicked there though, as opposed to, say, Denmark? Is there any news of how Victory's doing there? It's great to see such a reaction to them outside of Ireland, and from NEW fans as well!

So pleased for them!

Also Eurovision is very popular in Sweden and watched by everyone, including young people, and doesn't have the negative image it has in the UK, so Jedward would have been seen by a massive young Swedish audience the night of the Eurovision final.

I didn't realise this German magazine was having a "Jedward special" (!!) issue for their tour!

http://www.jedwardgenius.com/apps/bl...al-in-germany-

and they are also featured in a Latvian magazine, so another country for them to tick off maybe?

Maybe Saade being in Eurovision helped a lot in Sweden, as opposed to Denmark, Finland etc.

Hmm, maybe if they're in a shop in Germany and ask for the Jedward special, they might actually get it

I was reading an interview that the did a while ago, it was another serious one (I can't find it, I'll post it when I do!) and they were saying how they felt as if they had to prove themselves to everyone and how everyone is still stuck on X Factor mode and that they don't know how many things they've done since then. It was between Feb-May I think They really are clued in on what people think about them.
The interviewer was also saying how he noticed how John looked after Edward a lot. Telling him to fix his tie, telling him how to pose for the camera and bringing him to the bathroom to fix his hair (their hair was slicked back).
And then he was going on about how after the interview John complimented him on being very nice and focused it was a really good interview, but for the life of me I can't remember where I found it I was reading it this morning!
