The Official JoJo Appreciation Thread

There doesnt seem to be one from what I've checked.

So here it is =)

Her new 'Jumping Trains' era is getting underaway with the lead single 'Disaster' being released to US radio on the 29th of Aug.
Its said to be of the same ilk of Too Little Too Later/ Leave (Leave Get Out)

Shes an amazing talent, her voice is one of the most underrated in the industry.

Share the appreciation!

Really glad you started this!I like JoJo a lot.'The High Road' was a great album and I can't wait for 'Jumping Trains'.After her Marvin's Room cover, she has a great amount of buzz stateside.I am anticipating 'Disaster' too

I hope disaster is a great track! She has so much talent and it could really work! Let's hope it does! The single cover though hasn't done it for me, but that is nothing. LOL.

I really didn't like 'Paint'.I liked a lot of her leaked tracks, like Limbo, but she was really pushing her larynx up on the song, which is unhealthy.Still amazing, though.I really want the new album to have a lot of r'n'b influences, maybe soul too.JoJo has a great range and she could sing any genre of music she wants.I don't expect massive experimentation on Jumping Trains but if she successfuly comes back then we will see a lot more of her talent.I want some true r'n'b/soul songs for sure. She SLAYS them (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_1iz2NMxpd4

Hawwwwwwwwm 'Paint' is amazing. I love how shes being sexual with her music without being whorish or slutty like some pop tarts I can mention.

Ive heard the actual song 'Jumping Trains' twice now as shes been doing some live gigs in america. Its a really good song but i NEED to hear the studio version to make my mind up.

It sounds very promising and I loved the description of the album too.Needless to say, she's a great vocalist and a very sweet girl

Well, I'm still hoping that we're going to get the video for 'The Other Chick'.There is one shot and mastered, but since the song wasn't even sent to radio, then I don't think they'll release it.The picture that leaked from the set was HOT, though.JoJo has some kick-ass abs going on...

'Disaster' has been premiered on US radio

It's a solid song. It's a grower and a proper comeback song, which is exactly what she needs.I definetely want an r'n'b single to launch the album.'Disaster' could work for her, but she needs one or two more singles.I'm glad the era is starting!!

I thought I should update this thread

JoJo performing Disaster on tour with Joe Jonas and Jay Sean. She's not sick anymore, so her vocals sound amazing!!!
She's also done an acoustic performance (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6TdA8...eature=related)

There is a behind the scenes look at the 'Disaster' video, which is very enjoyable (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KQqQKWFBXLA) .She looks HOT!!!I love how she talks about the album too!

I love how people are checking for JoJo again. I really like the new song and video, it shows her musical progression but its still similar to too litlle too late!

heres a vid of a recent acoustic perfromance she did
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mxE7yqnj7QM , its incredible how versatile here voice is she singing almost rock songs like Diaster and pure pop in Leave and soul in the Amy tribute and then rnb in the Aaliyah cover, she can sing anything! I loved the Are You That Somebody cover in paticular her transition to falsetto was flawless. I really think shes gonna blow up again with this new album!

WOW!

She did an amazing job with the chorus of 'Are You That Somebody?' and with 'One In A Million'.I'm a huge Aaliyah fan, so JoJo's tribute made me even more interested in her upcoming album. She just HAS to do some r'n'b' tracks, not urban pop like 'Lie To Me', pure r'n'b', maybe even one more soul track like 'The High Road' or even gospel like 'Note To God'...She just HAS to do that!!

JoJo released a promo single a few days ago, called 'Sexy To Me'. The demo leaked in late 2011 but the final version sounds HOT! It's also featured in her Clearasil advert

JoJo released a new song! It's called 'Demonstrate' and it's an r 'n' b slow jam!

You might know the guy that produced it from Drake's albums. They work together all the time. I hope JoJo releases a video for this track

In love with it, it has got a really good response!

Apparently JoJo has scrapped 'Jumping Trains' and she's moving on to a brand new project that will be more upbeat and more urban! She mentioned TLC's 'CrazySexyCool' album as one of her influences!

She didn't clarify if 'Demonstrate' is a buzz single or the lead single, though, but she said she's halfway done with the album.

Good news! Rumour has it that JoJo filmed the video for 'Demonstrate' yesterday I'm taking this as a sign that her label might have finally got it together...But the song is going to need some promotion asap, because aside from a very positive reception on the internet, radios are not playing it yet...

JoJo performed 'Demonstrate' at New York fashion week

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=nYfjktAX0-4

It sounds so amazing live! She needs to be on 106 & Park and do radio promotion so that the song gets the success it deserves. Her label is messing up so bad!
