Drove down to Kircaldy to meet up with Peggy. Had a great time catching up over a cuppa and toasted teacake. All too soon I had to head off to the airport to meet Joyce.
Fight was ok but the pilot had to make a detour to avoid a huge stormcloud Arrived safely and took the DLR to get to our hotel. Got off at our stop but there was no one to ask for directions and no taxis to hop onto so "gung ho Cathlyn" took off in the direction I thought the hotel was in with poor Joyce following along. Luckliy I was right and arrived 5 minutes later.

Day 2

Was awoken by an aitcraft trying to land on the hotel roof and Phil tweeting to ask if the hotel was ok. She didn't believe me when I said she might need a shove up to reach her bed lol

After breakfast Joyce visited the Themes Barrier Park which was next to the station

At this point Joyce and I were a little naughty......oops We couldn't find the ticket machine and took the train without one. We tried at the next station but the machine wasn't working and eventually arrived at our destination ticketless

We passed some historic buildings on our way to the venue

Eventually "her maj" Phil arrived with Kirsty followed by Kay and Annette

Birthday celebrations, a raffle, lots of eating, some drinking and lots and lots of chatting ensued

Sadly the time passed too soon and gradually we had to say our goodbyes to those that we not staying overnight.

With the help of our lovely "taxi driver" Rob, we all got back to the hotel and continued our gossiping in Phil and Kirsty's mansion of a room until the wee small hours of the night.

Day 3

We all gathered for breakfast and surprise, surprise still had plenty to chat about with Phil giving everyone goodbye cuddles even though we were going to be travelling part of the way into London with her

We finally said our goodbyes to Kay and Annette at Canary Wharf whilst the rest of us continued into the centre of London where Kirsty and Phil alighted for the coaches back home.

Joyce and I had a mini tour of London before heading back to Canary Wharf for some retail browsing and hopping over to the O2 before collecting out cases and heading off to the airport

Fantastic light

Joyce arrived in Edinburgh just before 11pm, said our goodbyes and headed back home. I eventually got in at 2am to an exhuberant welcome from my dogs

I'd like to thanks Kelly for all her hard work organising the get together and raising a tidy amount of money for charity. All the lovely ladies for their company, Paul and Rob for putting up with us and finally a great big hug to Joyce for being with me. I throughly enjoyed our weekend together and can't wait for the next one”

That fantastic camera of yours was put to good use. Thank you for all the lovely pics Cathy - though fairly short and sweet - it was lovely to meet you on Saturday

We will all keep in touch, I was very happy with the whole situation and shall make sure I keep in touch with Emma on Laura's behalf.”

Glad to hear it went well Ali. Hope the weather was kind to you during your mini break x

When Josie tweeted that her and Jamie are cool as cucumbers - could John have read that and thought she meant the other Jamie? Would he have known about Jamie Holy Moly?

It's just that his "I don't come on here much anymore" could have been him saying that he never saw her retweet of that tweet from the reuniter about Aquarians telling him that you need him which I still believe was meant for John.

I'm probably reading far to much into these tweets though

Excellent photos Cathlyn!!
Glad all those who went to London had a great time!!

Gonna pick you and Irish up on your spelling!!

KIRKCALDY

There is a local poem that says when you were travelling on the train you always knew that you were approaching Kirkcaldy by the queer like smell generated by the linoleum factories!!

God knows what excuse the town has for the bad smell now that the factories have closed!!

Hope you're all well!!
