If Quadim threatens Syed, Christian or both of them, seeking plain revenge, or saying he’ll attack or kill the other if they don’t comply with his demands (eg. demanding Syed to go back to Amira to ‘save’ Christian, or insist Christian push Syed away to ‘save’ him) -Do I want one to cave in to ‘protect’ the other? Like h*ll I do! Sorry to anyone who sees the potential for 5* angst, but I’d hate that.
Syed is going to find out he has a life-changing daughter. Life-changing for everyone involved. I don’t underestimate the huge amounts of guilt, pressure, cultural and moral expectations, hurt and wonder Syed will have to deal with, Christian too, or that a) Zainab and Masood will be trying to influence Syed, b) Yusef will be meddling and manipulating, that c) Quadim wants to hurt him, and d) Amira’s demands of him are unknown (she was hurt and has a lot of power to hurt him, and Christian too). Complicated! But as well as finding out he’s missed on so much already, Syed will also find out his child is being raised under the influence of a vicious thug, the man who attacked Christian.
For me, what should one do if the other’s life is threatened by Quadim, especially if he tries to control them?
Go to the bloomin’ Police! Don’t let Quadim have it all his own way & don’t play his ‘games’. Act like a responsible adults who are about to be Parents. There are surely hospital records from Christian’s first attack to substantiate their claim of the seriousness of any death/attack threats (even if it’s circumstantial, not proof of the perpetrator). Don’t go along with it and so accept your child is to grow up under the influence of someone dangerous, who would do that, yet again. Get it on record for relevance to any future custody or safety debate. Quadim deserves his legal comeuppance, and even Amira wants to escape him.
/oh, wait, this is EE

. No one goes to the Police. Except Christian. And Whitney. And Bianca… Good on ‘em. Phil views the Old Bill with contempt, of course

, and he’s not alone. So, I know it’s not going to happen, it’s EE, but it could be good if it did!
Apart from Chryed being at the centre of the drama and taking a position of strength (after some desperate soul-searching, utter fear and then wresting emotional confessions from the other :sleep

, including great scenes of them standing up to Quadim, it would also have potential for the other Masoods….
…..especially for Masood’s relationship with Chryed.
Masood could redeem himself by giving evidence to the authorities in support of Chryed’s claim –Masood saw Quadim and his henchmen being menacing when they turned up in his house seeking Syed, before Christian’s attack, I believe. Wouldn’t it be a good step towards redeeming Masood (and the relationships) if Masood
also revealed his evidence that he saw Christian immediately after the attack (& left him for dead)? Surely Masood would want his granddaughter away from Quadim too? (Masood was even protective of Afia when he saw Yusef’s volatile anger directed towards her at the recent Mendhi -as he alone sees the truth that Yusef is twisted).
So, ending my little rant with a question: Did Masood
see Quadim & his henchmen leaving Christian’s flat and walking away, after the attack?
Oh, and as you can tell from this post

, Soap Logic & I only have a fleeting relationship, one which is based reassuringly on denial
