If Serena is the Serena Williams documentary, BBC2 already aired it.

No, it's the J-Law and Bradley film, released in 2014, which was made before Silver Linings Pussbook, but not released for ages. Mark Kermode said at the time, something like it looked like there could've been a decent film in there, but that it looks like it's been messed about with by the studio afterwards, and the end result is a mess.

Lone Survivor premiered on Channel 4 a few weeks back. Transcendence is this Saturday (1st) on Channel 4 at 10pm. There's also a premiere tomorrow afternoon (28th) on the Horror Channel called Terrordactyl, showing at 4pm.

Divergent hits C5 on Sunday 16th October at 9pm.

Looks like they are set to ramp things up on the premiere front in the run up to Christmas.

Dreadful films and seems the final film of the trilogy will be a low budget TV movie since the second film performed so badly in cinemas!

Close but there have been three films so far so it's the fourth that'll likely be a TV movie (they did the young adult trend of splitting the last book into two films).

I think you'll find that's not a young adult trend but rather a money making trend.

The fourth, Ascendant, will also be in cinemas. June 7th, 2017.

It was, but I appreciate the C4 heads-up, since Freeview doesn't have Film4 in HD.

As far as I know all the "main channels"* (certainly all the "PSB" ones) are in HD on all the main platforms**.

* BBC, ITV, 4, 5.
** Freeview, Freesat (both versions), Virgin Media.

(I don't know about any other platforms like BT TV.)

I suspected as much I agree it would be nice. But of course it's up to the channel's owners if they want to go to the expense or not.

The big 5 are on bttv in hd too anything in hd on freeview will be available on the Bttv platform too and talktalk both use youview which uses freeview, this may change though if Bt buy out youview as rumours suggest they will do.

Divergent has not been on UK TV before. Most films take around 2.5 years to come on British terrestrial TV. Divergent was in UK cinemas on April 4th 2014.

It just feels like it should have because, like the Hunger Games films, they're getting released annually, so this feels a much older film than it is.

I think they were talking about Holy Motors - hence the asterisk.

and I think schedules have changed on a lot of those indian films.
