I think they were talking about Holy Motors - hence the asterisk.

and I think schedules have changed on a lot of those indian films.
The Indian films (Ek Tha Tiger & Delhi 6) are at present unchanged.

Think even Channel 4 have aired it before too
I have the feeling that Holy Motors has been on before, TV Times and Digiguide are listing it as a premiere but I'm not convinced!

Time for another update, with any additions/amendments to the last list denoted by > : and question marks over 3 films coming up on C4/Film 4:-

THUR. 6TH:-

EK THA TIGER (2012), Channel 4 1.45-4.05am - Friday (+1 2.45-5.05am)

SUN. 9TH:-

BEGIN AGAIN (2013), BBC2 10.00-11.40pm

MON. 10TH:-

A MOST WANTED MAN (2014), Film 4 9.00-11.25pm (+1 10.00pm-12.25am)

THUR. 13TH:-

DELHI-6 (2009), Channel 4 1.40-4.10am - Friday (+1 2.40-5.10am)

FRI. 14TH:-

HOLY MOTORS (2012), Channel 4 1.30-3.30am - Saturday (+1 2.30-4.30am) - possibly been shown already (C4 or Film4)?

> SAT. 15TH:-

> STARRED UP (2013), Channel 4 12.05-2.05am - Sunday (+1 1.05-3.05am)

> SUN. 16TH:-

> DIVERGENT (2014), Channel 5 9.00-11.45pm (+1 10.00pm-12.45am)

> MON. 17TH:-

> SECRET LIFE OF WALTER MITTY (2013), Film 4 9.00-11.25pm (+1 10.00pm-12.25am) - possibly been shown already (C4)?

> WED. 19TH:-

> 47 RONIN (2013), Film 4 9.00-11.20pm (+1 10.00pm-12.20am) - possibly been shown already (C4)?

Not sure about 47 Ronin. Walter Mitty has because I set it to record and it didn't tape, so I was pissed.

Seems rather an odd time and day for a Premier. (Though why not, I guess.)

Decent enough film though.

Considering it's the BBC, I'd disagree.

Yep, 47 Ronin, Walter Mitty, Holy Motors, and Starred Up have all been on before.
Channel 4 and Film 4 seem to be going through a spell of "premiering" such films on their sister channel, and at least the TV Times and Digiguide are listing them as such. I'm not sure if both these media do the same for other films on other channels (e.g. if a BBC2 film was to be shown on ITV at a later date, or a C5 film appearing on C4 etc...) - if not it seems odd that they are doing it for C4/Film 4.

However strictly for the purposes and to support the title of this thread I will continue to list premieres on Freeview/terrestrial only, taking out any that we find have appeared on another Freeview/terrestrial channel before. If there is any doubt and/or Digiguide listing a film as a premiere I will initially include them until we discuss them case by case!

So time for another update, with any additions/amendments to the last list denoted by > :-

SUN. 9TH:-

BEGIN AGAIN (2013), BBC2 10.00-11.40pm

You know what? I read that as AM? (And I even double-checked Digiguide ) But my vision does get worse that time in the evening

I would say if it has been on Film 4, and is then on C4, PLEASE DO list it, as on C4 is the only way I'll see it in HD, and I don't want to miss it.

I don't get a heads-up like I do on here. I can't keep checking for a film to come round and round, and often the C4 showings are late at night, so unless I know in advance, I'll miss it.

Given that it's just the occasional time this happens, I can't understand why people are bitching about it. It's one listing once every few weeks.

Macbeth is one new example where I'll see it on C4 and not in SD on Film4. Film4 is a movie channel. If it had been on, say, BBC1 and was then showing on C4, I could understand leaving it out, but I implore Mr Sirs to reinstate these, please!

Thanks, I also really appreciate you still marking film premiers on CH4 even when they've previously been on Film 4

To cut down on the amount of telly I watch I refused to watch any films that aren't in HD, or have compromised aspect ratios compared to Cinema

I get really perplexed when I see things like this. I imagine the board meeting went:

Person 1: "Okay, so we've spent all this money acquiring this film. When shall we broadcast it?"
Person 2: "When everyone's asleep!"
Person 1: "Yay! Well done!"

Isn't this becoming less of an issue these days with DVRs? Yes, I know; not everyone has one. But they are now quite affordable.

Personally, I haven't really cared what time something was shown since 2002.

That wasn't my point, but anyway.

Unless it's a signed version. How come they haven't been able to make that a red button option? They could have it on frequently, then, instead of occasionally.
