Hey guys Batman Begins is being screened by ITV1 next Friday (13th) 10.35pm-1.05am except STV. It's from 2005, but according to my source it's not a premiere - it's been on terrestrial tv before.
That's why I never listed it above, but my source could be wrong!
Source? You need a source to tell you a film from 2005 that has been broadcast 4 or 5 times now on ITV 1 and many more times than that on ITV 2 is *not* a premiere?

I hope you aren't paying this source....

I think he means he googled a list of UK TV film premieres and it didn't appear on that. I think it's unfair to expect him to know several year's schedules off by heart.

The Dark Knight must be dropping soon surely?

I half expected it to appear next weekend. The sequel lands in UK cinemas on July 20, but the TV premiere of TDK won't be before or on that date according to the latest listings data.

LMAO I think the most mentioned words on here must be "The Dark Knight." I think we'll have a party when it does air!

The Hangover should be dropping soon as well, I believe it had it's German FTA première Christmas last year...

I reckon ITV might stick a load of premières on during the Olympics. Legally, they can't put that much advertising in, so they won't lose that much revenue and it's about the only way they'll get reasonable ratings (especially considering the never ending stream of crap gameshows that have come from them in recent months)

Awake (2007) premieres 10pm Saturday on Channel 5/HD.

They are also showing Zack and Miri Make a Porno (2008) soon. But no confirmed date for that yet.

It was on RTÉ last summer. It's taking its time coming to UK screens.

Who would you say is the best at handling their movie premiers? I would say Channel 4 by far. They have the most movies and the majority of them are on within 2.5 years! The BBC are OK but they have a limited amount of movies. Whereas ITV and Channel 5 are bloody awful! We have to wait ages for a movie on those channels.

Bit odd I know but is it possible that the 3rd twilight film might get a terrestial premiere before it actually shown on sky movies? Never seen it shown on there (other than pay per view)

That's because ITV don't care about movies unless Harry Potter or James Bond is in the title

I did like that they didn't list it by the full title in it's press listing... Surprised they've got the guts to show it

Are your 10,000 other posts made up of worthless contributions like that?

If you've nothing worthwhile to say, move along - or is it outwith your capabilities to NOT be sarcastic?

And just to remind a smart ass know it all like you sometimes terrestrial channels do broadcast films from yes - 2005 and older that haven't been shown.

According to my sources it will air Sun 22/07 22:00 - 00:00 on Channel 5. I'm assume that a preliminary scheduling so may change.

How do the channels decide when to premiere a film? Presumably there's an earliest date, post a SKY showing? Would love to know the thinking behind it all.

I hope we get Iron Man 2 soon! I recorded Iron Man and started watching it, I really like it! Now I finally understand the hype behind all the Marvel movies.
