Don't ask me to name any (oh well here's one - The Klansman, a 1970s film that was scheduled, but never did appear on ITV all those years ago!) but I am sure there are hundreds, probably a few thousand films old, new, and inbetween - that have never been shown on tv.
One of which is a 1970's film starring Joe Don Baker and Tyne Daly called "Speedtrap",which to the best of my knowledge has not been shown on tv for twenty five years. I did record it last time I saw it on Thames back in 1987 but no longer have the tape. Was available on region 1 dvd but deleted some years ago.

Try www.j4hi.com - they are an American site (ship to UK) that specialise in cult, rare and out of print films.

Sat down to watch Harold and Kumar

Damn stupid tech, bleeping rubbish! didn't record the film properly!
Any idea if they will be re broadcasting the film before the next ice age or better yet both films back to back or on consecutive nights.

And as regards great films they only broadcast once.

The Light Horsemen was on one about ten years ago never seen it since.

Got it on VHS a little while ago, picture not great but film a real classic. One of my great great uncles was there riding with the Aussies so there is an added reason for loving the film

Beauty and the beast has never been on TV before?? Really? I didn't know that! I'm not sure but isn't it one of the most popular Disney films? What other major films haven't been shown yet?

It's only Disney that does this, with The Lion King being the major example that I can think of

Was away from my usual night due to football, back to the grind

Sunday 2nd September - Submarine (2010) - 11.15-1.05am, Channel 4
On at a ridiculous time, I highly recommend this movie, the directorial debut of Richard Ayoade (Moss in the IT Crowd)

Monday 3rd September - Pretty Bird (2008) - 11.00pm-12.50am, Film 4

Friday 7th September - Youth in Revolt (2009) - 11.05pm-12.30am, BBC2
I'm guessing this might be changing, Review Show is usually on at this time on Friday, looks like they maybe signing off the series with an Edinburgh festival special

Am I the only one who thought it was okay, but not as brilliant as the press made out?

There seems to be a question mark over THE DARJEELING LIMITED - some sources say it's a premiere, others don't. I'll go with the view (from another poster) that it isn't, so here's the revised list along with the other additions:-

THURSDAY 23RD - MOTHER (2009), Film 4, 11.05pm-1.35am.

NEW TOWN KILLERS (2008), BBC1, 11.20pm-1.00am.

SATURDAY 25TH - JESSE STONE: NO REMORSE (2010), Channel 5, 5.20-7.05pm.

ONCE (2006), BBC2, 1.10-2.30am (Sunday).

ALAMAR (2009), Channel 4, 2.35-3.55am (Sunday).

SUNDAY 26TH - BEAUTY AND THE BEAST (1991), Channel 5, 6.20-8.00pm.

MONDAY 27TH - PRECIOUS (2009), BBC2, 11.50pm-1.30am.

SUNDAY 2ND - SUBMARINE (2010), Channel 4, 11.15pm-1.05am.

MONDAY 3RD - PRETTY BIRD (2008), Film 4,11.00pm-12.50am.

FRIDAY 7TH - YOUTH IN REVOLT (2009), BBC2, 11.05pm-12.30am.

Not really, Roger Ebert is the only critic I tend to read though. Mark Kermode needs more exposure than being stuck with Simon Mayo

Here's another

Tuesday 11th September - Together (2000) - 10.55pm-1.05am, Film4

I like him on BBC News on a Friday, around 5.45pm, although lately he's not been around and they've had Jason Solomon instead. Zzzz....

Online I usually refer to IMDB, or Rotten Tomatoes for the critics view.

Books - I've got Leonard Maltin's Film Guide - good, but he can be a bit over critical at times, Radio Times - overall well balanced. Don't have it, but Moviehound's guide is worth a look too.
