Why would C4 and C5 care what the other shows? And C5 is easily ignored because they deface their content with a logo.

If you like Drive, you're probably not that interested in Limitless...

Also, the trailer is cropped to 16:9, whereas the film is 2.35:1, so I don't know if they've just done that for the trailer for some reason, or whether they've got a crap version of it (which was the case for Tamara Drewe, which was a BBC Films film)”

Not the case, The Children only showed up late last year, and that was released in 2008, The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas was also a latecomer I think. It's the same with Channel 4, Chatroom was produced by them, released in 2010, but only aired for the first time last month, same goes for The Last King of Scotland, that took it's time arriving.

Apologies, how stupid of me. I may have to go and flagellate myself...

I've not seen Drive yet, I've heard it's amazing but I haven't got round to it yet...

As does C4 on their HD channel.

Not seen "Drive Angry" yet, but I have seen "Drive" and thought it was rubbish.

Limitless is a BIG premier for Channel 4 as it has both critical accalim / box office success and man of the moment Bradley Copper starring. I could see that easily passing 2 million in the overnights...

I nearly missed the Tourist! Just managed to record it last night! And looking forward to Limitless too, I remember it seemed interesting when it came out.

I love it when a New year starts because we get to see films from a new year! (I don't even know if that makes sense- I mean that now that 2013 has started, we get to see films from 2011)

I didn't like Drive either. Very overrated.

Limitless is a good film. I have it on blu-ray.

Can anyone answer this question about ITV2 scheduling? They showed Oceans 11 before Christmas then a couple of weeks later Oceans 13 but no Oceans 12! I've V+ed 13 hoping that they'll show 12 but nope, again they've recently shown 11 then 13! They've done the same with the Bourne films. Why? Do they only have the rights to show the first and last of trilogies?

I guess a lot of the smaller studios are less stringent on terrestrial debut, The Tourist was released in December 2010, Drive Angry was 2011 as was Limitless.

There are a few titles from Warner Bros and Sony which haven't received their debuts yet but I imagine and hope they'll be shown in the coming months.

Well, I was thinking more for SD channels, although I watch more HD now and I can't imagine why they want to have them on those as it just blights what is meant to be high quality(!)

DOGs are a cancer on broadcasting.

Most of us tend to watch the middle of the TV screen and not exclusively the corners so tend not to notice them

Then there's even less reason to have them.

There are often scenes where characters heads are obscured by dogs.

I really think this anti-DOG crowd are way over the top, they aren't really destroying TV as we know it...

Indeed. I never said I liked or agreed with them. I just think there's no point getting every little dig in you can about them on forums where no broadcaster can even see them.

Yes, it is. That's a reasonable film for the most part, but no doubt C4 will show the 12-rated theatrical cut which has some really bad censorship compared to the extended and director's cuts. (I don't know why they made 3 versions. I watched the longest one - the director's cut at 104 mins - when I saw it)
