It's normally at least 12 months after they have receaved their premier on Sky, sometimes more.

So... Basically this is how it is going to go in 2013:

2009/2010 movies will premier on terrestrial this year.

2010/2011 movies will premier next year on terrestrial.

And yet, still no The Dark Knight (2008). Bizarre. Warners are doing a Disney with that one aren't they?

Well for example the film, The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe, the novel by C. S. Lewis was broadcast 2 years after shown on Sky, but the sequel Prince Caspian was broadcast 12 months after its premiere on Sky.

I love these C5 afternoon movie titles. They're like titles so bad that even Steven Seagal would turn his nose up at them!

Aren't they TV Movie Melodramas? That's why they usually stick in that slot, the titles fit that sort of thing too.

This is terrible compared to the French movie it's based on. Although to be fair, the BBC has shown that too over on BBC4

Le Dīner de Cons is hilarious.

Why the surprise? BBC1 have their first premiere in months, and it isn't a holiday premiere.

And back to Channel 4 again

Saturday 2nd June - 12.40am-2.15am (Sunday morning) - Perrier's Bounty (2009)

Sunday 3rd June - 9.00pm-11.15pm - Nine (2009)
1.35am-3.20am (Monday morning) - I Love You, Beth Cooper (2009)

Ice Age is also listed as a premiere for 3rd June, i'm thinking because C4 haven't shown it before.

What an absurd timing!! Quite a big Hollywood movie with a couple of big names and they show it in that graveyard slot? They could've easily got a decent audience for it in primetime. The BBC really needs to take some risks with movies because this is just stupid!

No swearing on BBC One before 10PM and there's news at 10PM, so the earliest slot it can get is 10:35PM. At that point it probably doesn't make a difference...

I read it on the mediawatch-UK site, but they've changed it since then. I haven't been able to find anything specific, but I think this is it:

Before I looked at the link, I was thinking that Mediawatch are the Daily Mail in human form. They really are complete morons.

And the Daily Mail talks about "bad language". There's no such thing. It's "strong language". But then the Daily Mail wouldn't be able to understand that.

I mistook that for 9 Songs , which makes me ask if that's ever been on UK TV?

Also, don't want to sound pedantic, but the film is the Daniel Day Lewis film Nine, spelt Nine, not 9. 9 is another film entirely. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/9_(2009_film)

Swearing is allowed on BBC1 before 10pm! Mrs Brown's Boys is on at 9.30pm! And there have been several dramas on at 9pm with crazy amounts of swearing!
