SUNDAY 3RD:- THE FOX AND THE HOUND (1981), Channel 5, 5.10-6.50pm.

2012 (2009), Channel 5, 9.00pm-12.10am.

The Radio times is listing it as a premiere though.

might have some good films if there start before xmas.
Movies 4 Men? Sounds very dodgy too me.
I think for Christmas, Toy Story 3, Shutter Island, Rango and Rio are dead certs, as well as possibly The Dark Knight and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (prob just part 1)

Looking forward to those movies! Rio seemed really fun when it was released

More likely they'll be in the weeks before if ITV have them.

I was thinking that when I saw it. IMDB lists 1.37:1 as one ratio for it, but 1.75:1 as the intended ratio. It is out on Blu-ray but I haven't seen that disc.

Amazon list the following, but it can often be taken with a pinch of salt:
Aspect Ratio: 16:9 - 1.78:1

The Fox & The Hound on BluRay is in its OAR of 1.66:1. Not sure why Channel 5 shown a 4:3 copy of it. Ghostbusters was also cropped. Not sure about U571 as I think it was cropped last time they showed it. 2012 was a premiere, was it OAR?

Got to say I was really disappointed with that one - it is very bizarre, to say the least!

C4 11.10pm FILM: The Deep Blue Sea (2011)

Ghostbusters is a terrible print. U571 was in 4:3! I know the 16:9 version (as per the UK DVD) is open-matte, but it does look better in 2.35:1.

2012 was cropped to 16:9. Looked like shit.

Apologies, this was taken out in the final schedule. No idea why it changed within a few hours.

Because they realised it was a terrible film?
