TV listings are always subject to change. What if the Queen died for example, would they keep the schedules as they are then? No.

TV listings are not subject to change unless a major event occurs.

xmas eve 0045 (ie actually xmas day) film4
rare exports.
not a premiere as billed but well worth watching if u missed it last xmas. very different version of the santa myth. sorta semi horror come ghost story come creature feature thingy. finnish with subtitles but ignore that. very visual and you can pretty much ignore the dialogue.

new year day. 1.40pm ch5. the glen miller story.

great biopic. one of the best ever. james stewart is uncannily very good and convincing as miller. especially when he searches for "a new sound".
not on fta tv for some years as far as i know. this was re released in early 80s after they found the original tapes of the miller band recordings made for this film. so dialogue is all mono but changes into glorious stereo for all the big band numbers. foot tappin stuff.

the band in the film is the real glen miller band. presumably they recorded the numbers in sound studio 1st, then played for real in sync to that for the actual filming ......

Def. long as you say, but no record. BBC2 screened a few premieres earlier this year on Sat. morning - old films dating from the 1930s. Can't remember the titles - think covered in this thread a while back.

Can't believe we'll soon be getting premieres from 2012!

Time between cinema release and terrestrial premiere has been getting shorter and shorter, roughly around 2-3 years now, but do you guys think there will ever be a time when it only takes a year?
