Shame is a great movie also. Hope they don't edit it to pieces in order for it to be shown on terrestrial TV.
I think that's why it's being shown at 10PM, rather than 9PM...

oh thanks for some of those..Cabin in the woods have had on dvd but will record it to watch again
Cabin in the Woods is tedious as hell for the first 40 minutes, but then picks up instantly. I know they were trying to satirise such films with that, but it comes across as a carbon copy and can be easily skipped second time round.

Not on C4 at 10pm.

They cut one scene from Masters of Sex at 9PM, but it was moved into a 10PM timeslot for the next episode, so they could air it uncut. (It sounded like the compliance team tried to get a 10PM slot, but it wasn't available)...

They've also cut movies shown well after the watershed before. Shame is quite a graphic movie. Hope the pc police don't find it necessary to edit it tonight for fear of the Mary Whitehouse brigade complaining to Ofcom.

There is a film on Movie Mix at 9pm tonight with Greg Kinnear called Flash Of Genius about the man who invented intermittent windscreen wipers and his long battle with the car companies who used his invention without his permission or paying him. It sounds interesting. Has anyone seen it and is it worth watching?

This 2008 film I saw a few years ago (rented on disc). From recollection it was good. Other reviews here:-

Why the hell is Chronicle on so late? It's no worse than most 12s these days (except for maybe one scene, which was deemed too sadistic for a 12), and it's the kind of film that appeals to a young audience, so what the hell is doing at 10 instead of 9PM?

Coming up to Christmas I expect films like Brave (2012) and maybe Les Miserables (2013) being aired although I would expect Les Miserables being a new year premiere.

Brave won't be until next year at the earliest, same with Les Mis.

War Horse is an odd choice of premiere given Christmas is coming up, maybe BBC have the Avengers films lined up or something big.

I think the reason they are showing War Horse is because they have been putting out quite a bit of stuff re WW1 over the last while, makes sense for them to continue that when it's fresh in folks minds - and a Sunday evening should be a good slot for it.

On the Road last night seems to have been the full length version premiered at Cannes rather than the shorter version that was released commercially.

Makes sense, would have more sense to put it on last night as well in that case.

OK so schedules are being kinder now with Christmas approaching, so more idea of what films are in channels in coming weeks, wish it was like this all year round, if Sky can plan ahead why can't terrestrial channels, secondly if i'm not sure if a film is a premiere, it's marked with NS, if a foreign language film, i'll mark the country of origin next to the year like i've done previously, i'll also mark documentaries, anyway...

Phew.....
Just to be a dick, Heli premièred on C4 earlier in the year, the weekend before it got it's DVD and BD release from Network. It was a 2014 release, so apparently Network think there's value in quick TV showings of films...

Also, it's Mexican so is in Latin American Spanish, but is not actually Spanish...
